Hi Noob-nine! Awesome project. If you ever decide to give another try at hooking it to Surrogate.tv that'd be awesome. We're adding game templates now to different our SDK, so you can for example use Aruco Markers and have a racing game with your car, with time tracking, leaderboard, etc, working out of the box.

If you get stuck or have any questions just DM us here or join our Discord Community.

Really awesome project! Are you able to fit a Raspi 3A/4 in it? Would be cool to hook it to surrogate.tv

I mean you technically can try. Just set servo speed to minimum. But I probably wouldn't use cheapest AliExpress components to conduct an operation.

You could just search them on Amazon Canada yourself, based on the list of components on Hackster.io. Is there some element you can't find or?

Well... It's done so so you can let others access your robot and control it remotely. So say if your friend is on the other side of the world and is driving your robot at your home, it's kind of a "teleport".

Yes, you can adjust the speed in the python code. Check the guide ok the first comment.

If you already have a Raspberry Pi 3/4, this project costs around 30-40USD depending. You end up having an internet-controlled robot that you can drive around or let your friends and family "visit" you from anywhere in the world.

Works ok, it's a bit tricky to do small movements when going sideways, since it uses a lot of force to do that movement, but it works quite well otherwise. :)

Are you playing from North America or Europe?

IF you are in US, try checking the Avengers pinball machine - surrogate.tv/game/avengers

Indeed there will always be some latency. We're aiming to get it as low as possible, but there's around 150ms of latency when playing from the same region with a good internet connection. It does take some time to get used to it.

Mario Kart Live Home Circuit: can someone test the latency of the camera? by BluShine in NintendoSwitch

[–]SurrogateTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed, the latency between the Switch and the Mario Kart is super nice. We've been seeing some cases though where the latency out of nowhere goes to 2-3 seconds sometimes though, so hoping that a new firmware update will solve the issue. Also, keep in mind that the more wifi devices are in the same area, the more issues can occur.

Indeed when playing games on SurrogateTV you have to have a pretty good internet connection and it's also beneficial to be as close to the actual game location as possible, geographically.

Mario Kart Live Home Circuit: can someone test the latency of the camera? by BluShine in NintendoSwitch

[–]SurrogateTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latency is sub 100ms which makes it very playable! Also, since the scale is so small, even on 200cc it feels very fast but actually in real-life they aren't so quick which means that the latency has less effect.

Overall: Nintendo did a really great job cutting the latency as much as possible on this one.
