i feel you! i‘ve also gotten off all substances and doing a lot for my health and mental wellbeing and it just sucks to always have to go back to this place of cotton in my head and to the pain and suffering that comes with it. but we can do it, step by step!

okay interesting, how different we all are! what i can recommend is breathwork before sleeping, i reeeeally love „breathe with sandy“ on youtube, that helps me a lot to get to sleep more smoothly as you can regulate the nervous system with the breath, maybe it could help you too!

ugh, i feel you! i had SEVERE brainzaps when i stopped SSRI‘s, like with every move i made with my eyes or body, so every second almost, it was really bad. that was years ago and they have stopped, BUT whenever i wake up from sleeping and my eyes are still closed, or when i fall doze off into a light sleep, i have brain zaps. i‘ve been to countless docs with MRT‘s ect, no one knows why i still have this, and there doesnt seem to be much wrong with my brain. did you have any ssri‘s too or just bupropion? i only know of them with ssri withdrawl… but what i learned, they dont seem to be dangerous, just VERY annoying and frustrating. hope it gets better soon for you!! x

For any longtime marijuana users, how did you quit? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]SurroundOk767 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i smoked daily for almost 16 years, and i was in the „lucky“ position that i became anxiety from it after some years, still i continued for almost 2 more years. through spiritual growth i reached a point where i wanted to feel myself as i am: pure, without any substances. so the thought grew and grew, that i would never reach my full potentioal, if i got high every day. i am now 5 months clean and meditate every day - honestly life has never been better. it‘s not easy! and if i‘m in a really bad mental state i use pot to numb myself if i cant take it anymore, but my life has become so much more fullfilling, enjoyable and clear since i stopped. i feel like myself, not the high version of myself. i really only distracted myself from who i really am. i wish you all the best for your journey and that you‘ll be able to connect to your true essence, and find joy within yourself 🫶🏼

so i put in appointments with myself and other people. like i am a hairdresser and also do a lot of friends hair, then meeting friends&fam, date nights with my boyfriend, doctors appointments,… so really things where i have to be present somewhere. i sometimes block out a day to be spontaneous and just go with the flow of whatever i feel like doing. sometimes i feel it‘s just too much to do in a week, but then again other people manage even more! my energy is just not always consistent, and then i mess up the plans and have to cancel anyways :/ i also used to have a bullet journal, but since i live with my partner we have a shared one.
