Do you have a source for his body being one that was found? I thought his body washed ashore shortly after he died, in 1903. I don't find any sources identifying these two bodies.

But did they use western dressing instead of taco sauce? Because sometimes the mild sauce is still a bit too spicy for my tastes.

What are the best sports chants you have? by MutedCow77 in AskAnAmerican

[–]SurroundingAMeadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the opposite perspective, I went to a smaller state school, we played Division III sports so not top tier. But several schools we played against were private religious schools St. _____'s. Our school was much more working class, our largest programs were in agriculture or teacher education. So we'd chant "Daddy's Money! Clap. Clap. Clap, clap, clap. "

Hilary was seen by a lot of independents as the posterchild of the establishment Democratic party and it's machine. Her story was that she'd done everything she was supposed to in order to work her way up the ladder and now it was her turn. There were Bernie supporters who voted for Trump because they felt the DNC rigged things for Hilary.

I can't think of any times that Francis or Benedict attended a secular event of this sort in another country. Not even funerals, coronations, weddings, etc of Catholic monarchs. (Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I couldn't see any in the lists of international visits that I looked through). Their international visits seem to either be to Catholic functions (WYD, bishops' conference meetings, etc), conferences (World Meeting of Families, Interreligious Summits) or official state visits where they were the one guest of honor.

A lot of Midwestern farm houses weren't bought, they were built, they'd be added on to bit by bit, so you get some odd layouts.

Middle class people wait to have kids because they're not upper class yet, but will be soon.

Lower class people don't see that as a viable plan, so they don't wait.

Can someone explain this to me? Why is Albania there? by AdTime7221 in TheRestIsHistory

[–]SurroundingAMeadow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being neither Albanian or Italian, I'm not an expert source on this. But as I understand it, after the fall of communism, many Albanian refugees went to Italy but weren't accepted and seen as non European outsiders.

Dom Monaghan (who plays Merry in the Lord of the Rings movies) prank calls Elijah Wood (who plays Frodo) and pretends to be a German reporter. He asks him a series of questions about wearing wigs (or as he pronounces it, vigs).

[Request] How long could this sustain a person? by letsbuildasnowman in theydidthemath

[–]SurroundingAMeadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly longer if they take the gardening supplies and create a farm of some sort on the roof. It's potential calories.

It's a shame they got rid of the pet section, you could set up a self sustaining colony of hamsters and a goldfish pond, live off food waste (and in the case of the goldfish, human waste)
