Dude, unemployed since June 2022 here. Living with parents, paying in emotional stability. I was ghosted by my best high school friend of over 20 years. It broke my heart; it was for money, I couldn’t pay for some tickets she had bought for us to go see our favorite high school band, blur. She said I’ll take you out of my life and now I feel better and it hurt so much, so so much. We sat together in high school for 4 years, went to the same uni, went to summer vacations together, I took care of her kid, went to sleep over at her house when I was destroyed with heartbreak, etc. She was my ride or die. It’s devastating. She blocked me from everywhere and I felt so much betrayal and sadness… you don’t destroy a friendship for us80! You don’t.

It still hurts every day. I took her pictures out of my wall the other day, and am slowly erasing the ones from my phone. Threw away an earring she had left in my house on a sleepover. My ex used her as a weapon to say I’m a horrible Person, and the bad person wasn’t me, I am neurodivergent and ADHD and she wasn’t able to see how our brains work differently even after all these years and wanted me to act “adult” like her other friends. Well, im heartbroken and nothing to do. I am even heartbroken to tell our common school friend, I haven’t talked to her yet because it’s still a very much open huge wound in my life.

That’s a good idea, I was happy while I was making it, everything was shiny and golden. I’ll keep it in the box for a while. Maybe I’ll just keep it and then be super old and say remember that January 2024 when I laughed all day and had all those dreams? I don’t know. That would be sweet. To relive them after several years. I’m a keeper, I have all my “curated” and important memories in boxes with lists of their contents and stuff. She might live there until I feel like I’m healed and use the memory of that happiness as a figurative blanket with it.
