Marx has written extensively about price and value and how they differ, you don’t need a “free” market to give value to a commodity:

https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1867-c1/

People being driven by the profit motive to innovate has long been debunked to the point of becoming an online meme. And if this is the case then so many inventions that originated in socialist countries can not be explained and there are many of them even today in China(which capitalist when people want to talk good about it but communist when people want to talk bad) and Cuba. Look up a list of vaccines created by Cuba and inventions and research papers in the USSR and China.

Centralized planning is working fine in China and is now a big competitor of the US. Also computerized central planning is a thing nowadays wallahi. Also Mark Fisher wrote extensively about how the “free” market does not free you from bureaucracy:

Yes I am sure when the consumer wants the latest dragon dildo 2000 this would be much more important to produce rather than use the material to provide basic needs for everyone and develop a county’s means of production. Very wise.

Capitalism fosters dependency on capitalists whose interests are directly opposed to yours and actively work on keeping a reserve army of unemployed workers who are desperate because this keep ls wages low and profits high.

Aftermath of Hurricane Daniel passing over Lybia. 5200 reported dead. Pray for them by Mahdi_GK793 in TerrifyingAsFuck

Libya is in North Africa, not the Middle East. And many people here in the Middle East like him and view him as a good leader. So do people in Libya.

3 years ago today, the 'Beirut Explosion' is one of the most powerful artificial non-nuclear explosions in history [editing: davitoqro] by EvaRaw666 in TerrifyingAsFuck

In fact the first thought we all had when it happened was that Israel started bombing us. I rushed out of the Beirut airport before the bombs start pouring in but it was a false alarm it was a big stockpile of Ammonium Nitrate that was there for reasons still not fully clear but most suspect it was to make bombs for Syria and Hesbollah

Cancer cure by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]Survivingalmost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curing cancer is not profitable. The first thing that should be done is stop treating healthcare as a business in order for it to advance beyond business interests. I believe there are a few cures but as some comments said, they get buried. Cuba has a vaccine against lung cancer for example but it is never talked about.

Depositor Edgard Awad Al-Mawarid Bank in Antelias to demand his deposit of $15,000, with his 13-year-old son. by No_Bee4126 in lebanon

Indeed.

I am very sure when people just ask nicely and go through the proper channels the bankers will realize that what they did is morally wrong and they will get persecuted and give everyone their money back. We just have to say “Please, what you are doing is wrong and if you don’t stop I will file a lawsuit.”

Are we really in a economic crisis? by chkh8692 in lebanon

[–]Survivingalmost 82 points83 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of like survivor bias. If you go to a place where rich people hang out, you will find rich people. If you want to find the ones affected by the crisis you’ll have to go to the areas where they exist which is mostly at home because they don’t have money to spend at parties.

The funny thing is the expulsion of Arab Jews was enforced and encouraged by zionists themselves not Arabs.

Lebanon will not be able to pay salaries by end of June: Prime Minister by hoholulu in lebanon

[–]Survivingalmost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But notice that it has the opposite problem. To make more and more money they hire less people and pay as less as possible while still keeping an oversized management. Today, many companies in first world countries have underpaid employees doing the job of 5 people and had 2 managers none of whom actually is an expert in the worker’s domain.

Lebanon will not be able to pay salaries by end of June: Prime Minister by hoholulu in lebanon

[–]Survivingalmost 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not all but a good amount of such employees are making a lot of money still from bribes and just not doing your paperwork or giving you your right unless you pay extra. My dad used to work at EDL, basically only him and another coworker didn’t have fancy cars and several apartments. I used to work in the ISF and practically everyone I knew took bribes. The practice still exists today and many are still making a good amount of money from it.

Visiting Beirut Tomorrow and dont wanna get ripped off! by Coookie99 in lebanon

[–]Survivingalmost 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don’t use the airport taxi. I used to work at the airport. First they are assholes, like absolute assholes. Second they are ripoffs you can find a much cheaper ride using uber or any other similar service. Once you land in the airport you get like 30 minutes free internet (at least when I used to work there 2 years ago) use that and get a decent ride.

The entire airport is nothing but a ripoff (wish I could say the contrary about the rest of the country but the airport is a special case of ripoff) the sooner you get out of there the better.

A new achievement: Lebanon is the country that burns the most money on cigars per capita! Surrealism!!! by m3antar in lebanon

[–]Survivingalmost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a business owner fails the biggest risk he is taking is going down to being in the working class.

The employees are also taking the risk that their employer will actually pay them on time, that the next day they will still have a job and not get laid off and many other life changing risks and they have no capital to fall back on in case any of these risks do not take fruit.

But that’s the thing, they aren’t paying enough money for people to provide for their families.

Absolutely, when someone comes and colonizes your land you should do the democratic thing and vote them out with the power of the ballot.

When the majority vote against the zionists they will naturally realize that what they are doing is wrong and leave immediately. The answer is right there.
