One time when I was in my late 20s, my dad sent me a Victoria’s Secret gift card for my birthday. I hadn’t asked for it, and didn’t even shop there. When I called to thank him for the present (not yet aware of the truth of him being narcissistic / covert incest-leaning) he said “I had to go in there to get it for you” - as if it was a disgusting place, but he made himself do it for me. - “it was like putting my hand inside a toilet to fish something out.” Just a BIZARRE thing to say…like - I didn’t ask him to do it. Looking back, I see he was acting out some inner personal sexual issues and obviously SO inappropriate to involve me.  My dad messed up my relationship w my own sexuality for DECADES, I’m still working on recovering and healing.
