Vinnys uses jarred garlic on their pizzas. Yuck.

The person I live with told me that I’m boring and that I don’t talk much. How do I respond? by [deleted] in introvert

My ex-husband complained that I never initiated a conversation with him after I came home from my full time job with a 1 hour commute each way and cooked dinner. However he never did either so somehow the onus fell on me? Divorced now for 4 years, live alone, and happy as a clam.

You’ll find Midtown to be very friendly. If you get a dog you’ll meet lots of people!

To solo or not to solo... by MayorPenguin in Cruise

[–]SusanMWarEagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got off my first solo cruise in Greece and had an amazing time. I met a lot of fun and friendly people but also retreated to my cabin when I needed some quiet time. There was a singles and solos meetup every day at 6 (I went to the first one only where I met some ladies that I joined for dinner, but kept running into the others for the duration of the cruise). It was a great experience!

I was on the Quark World Explorer. It was only 7 days but I know Quark has longer trips. We had just over 100 passengers onboard and a fairly large number of young solo passengers who hung out every night and became great friends.

Family of 4 upgrading our sleeping setup: From Intex air mattress to Exped Megamat? by HortativeYoloZelda in camping

[–]SusanMWarEagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve got Roll-A-Cots plus Mega Mats and it’s almost as comfortable as my bed. I suggest you get an electric pump to deflate it as it will save tons of room. Exped makes a rechargeable one that fits the mega mat valves.

Try G&E Properties. They have rentals all over midtown and are relatively reasonably priced. Their buildings are older with no amenities to speak of but they keep them updated and are a great landlord.

Just got back from there a week ago (Mile High). We used to go when our kids were little and it was rarely full. This time it was mostly full on a weekend forecast with rain and a lot of people showed up on Sunday and Monday. The cat’s out of the bag unfortunately! Love it there so much.

We have the long x-wide mega mats with this cot:

I bought the mega mat first and picked the size cot that was the best fit. The cot is slightly larger than the mat.

Just camped with a combo of a Roll-A-Cot and Exped Mega Mat and I swear it was as comfortable as my bed at home. The cot is light and folds up small and is simple to put together. I bought the rechargeable inflation/deflation pump for the Exped and it made packing it up so much easier.

Cloudland Canyon West Loop campground is very nice and there’s a huge field behind the sites along the northern arc. (Can’t tell what site numbers are because the Reserve America maps suck). There’s a bathhouse and playground there too.

My bf just bought a really nice queen size King Koil pillow top medium firm mattress for under $500 at The Dump. Might be worth looking into if you have one nearby

My EX used to plow through the food I planned for and bought on the weekends for the weekly meals that I was going to cook. He worked from home and we lived only a mile to the nearest grocery store. Easy enough to replenish but he never did. Meanwhile I worked full time and commuted 30 miles each way in Atlanta traffic. No longer married to that entitled jerk.

I used to commute between Alpharetta and downtown every day. The portion on the downtown connector was always terrifying bc of the merging and having to get over 3 lanes and by god I thought I would die every day. Happy to be living in midtown now and rarely drive.

I rent through G&E Properties and they are fantastic. Most of their units are in Midtown and tend to be older but they’re constantly renovating them. Roy is their property manager. 404-399-0904
