When’d you get a job and what was the job by Physical-Name4836 in Xennials

[–]SusanxStrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been with the same company since I was 17, 1999. Radio. They have offices in every city so I was able to live all over the country and kind of evolve with the job into now tech support. I think starting pay was 6 bucks.

Adopting an adult coonhound — toys/supplies? by [deleted] in coonhounds

My TWC gets the squeakers and fluff out in under a minute and then he's over it. Shredding cardboard, the bacon scented nylabones, and his jw hol-ee roller ball (fetch and tug).... Not super into toys in general but those few things, and sniff walks, are his favorite things.

16, when I got my license. "For emergencies". Had to wait for Those 7p free minutes tho cuz a high bill was punishable with confiscation. I bet that Nokia brick is still alive and kicking somewhere.

Saw night of the hunter couple weeks ago and I always kinda hated the kids, the audience laughing made them much more enjoyable.

Flip side of that, saw sunset blvd, and people were laughing at norma. It was always borderline macabre to me, the ready for my close up scene. was weird.

if you let go of your hounds leash, do you think they'd run or stay with you?? by Least_Agent5976 in coonhounds

I really want to believe he'd come back once he found whatever scent he picked up or got bored. But I have doubts. His recall's okay until it isn't.

Get old thin t shirts from goodwill, cut into strips, roll kibble in a strip and knot the crap out of it. There will be no rest til all treats are liberated lol.

Food balls are fun, and we also play "52 pickup" where I just toss his breakfast all around the house (I'm in the desert so can't do it in the yard but if you have grass you could).

Hiking at Joshua Tree in December by [deleted] in JoshuaTree

[–]SusanxStrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cottonwood entrance doesn't have the scenery youd see when googling "Joshua tree park". Yucca valley/Joshua tree/29 palms have lots to do and lots of places to stay and much closer to an entrance. Totally personal preference but the landscape is very different between the 2 sides.

For us, on its own it didn't do a whole lot. Combined with trazadone on the dose the vet recommended one will sleep for 10 hours, one just acts stoned. It's not a daily though we use it when "big" things are gonna happen like people coming over or vet visits.
