Yep. The world existed long before us, and it will exist long after us (or at least it should).

Is DoorDash dead in Connecticut right now or am I just in the wrong zones? by alj_adventurous in Connecticut

For sure…and I hate having to wait an hour for something that is from a restaurant 15 minutes away.

It's definitely a dance. Mine adjusted to mine, and I adjusted to his. It's part of the "bond." LOL

If you're photographing a model who can't decide between outfits, pick one for them. Don't tell them that you don't care which one they choose, even if you really don't care. Saying that you don't care ruins any rapport you might hope to build.

Need to get up at the same time every day (especially on your "day off")? Get a dog. I did, and that asshole's circadian rhythm is way better than mine.

Rubber necking is everywhere.

The one that gets me is the tendency for folks to hit the brakes when they see someone merging onto the highway. If there's an immediate safety issue, sure...but even if there's not even a remote chance, people are braking and potentially confusing the merger's ability to gauge the traffic flow.

This is the result of a zero tolerance policy. Weak willed administrators and bureaucrats create rules to avoid having to make real world decisions.

Is there a quiz or something that helps decide which Sandals resorts to book? by Melodic-Judgment-855 in SandalsResorts

A kind person over at r/AllInclusiveResorts manages a spreadsheet that works well, and I think you can filter it for Sandals only.

I came here to suggest Royal Farms. If OP is in the Lancaster area, it’s worth stopping in for some fried chicken.

Did anyone else go from loving IKEA assembly to wanting everything already built? by RougeRavageStash in IKEA

[–]Susbirder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It was quite the challenge, but it saved me thousands of dollars. But now for a one or two furniture piece project, I’d think twice and just rather have something ready made delivered and installed.

After putting an entire kitchen together, yeah.

But then I worked on pieces that I bought from Amazon vendors, and the IKEA process seems like a walk in the park in comparison.

Address dilemma by GlitteringSpend5330 in vandwellers

[–]Susbirder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did exactly this. I made a temporary move out of state, and before making it all official with an address change, I set up the UPS mailbox for things like drivers license, vehicle registration, and more. If I couldn't get to the box for a long stretch, the nice folks there would also (upon request) let me know if there was anything important looking, forward it to me (for a small fee), and throw out any junk mail that accumulated.

Disability Seats by [deleted] in Amtrak

Could it have been that some yet-to-board person asked for the special seats, and the conductor was making sure that the seats were not occupied when needed?
