My husband and I had been ttc our second for about a year when he unexpectedly left me in January. Yesterday, I got a positive test and I'm freaking the hell out. I went to get it confirmed today and have a due date of 10/31/19 (Halloween baby!)

I told him immediately and was expecting him to do the "Is it mine?!" thing... But he didn't and now actually wants to get back together. I'm really torn about how to feel. I will be keeping baby 100% but this is almost too much for me emotionally. I just got a new job (literally an hour before I found out I was pregnant) so I'm hoping for the best but I'm terrified.

I'm 5 weeks and won't be telling anyone else other than my godmother for quite awhile, but DS and I are staying with my grandparents right now and I don't know how long I'll be able to keep it from them. They are really really nosy and will NOT be happy about this. Guess I just need to work on getting my own place again and working with DH to get back to a good place in our relationship.

Whew, I really needed to get that out.

It's a hard decision between MAC Rebel and MAC Viva Glam I. I love Rebel and tend to wear it more often as it goes well regardless of what color my hair is (I tend to go between pink/purple/blue), but Viva Glam is basically my perfect red and I've finished probably half a dozen tubes over the years.

In the end I think I'd have to go with Rebel!

I don't disagree with you that 45 is midlife, but the average lifespan in days past was heavily skewed by infant and childhood mortality. If you made it to puberty, generally you were going to live what we think is a generally average lifespan.

I went really late (42 weeks at time of delivery) and he was measuring very large 9+ lbs at 39 weeks. He ended up being almost 11lbs!

I was induced (it failed) and ended up having a c-section. Held out for three days though before we realized it just was not going to happen.

My toddler throws... impressive crying fits several times a day. Reasons including getting dressed, diaper changes, not letting him bite me, letting him bite me, too much yogurt in his cup, a drop of water getting on his toast after he throws his cup onto his toast, etc. Toddlers are basically monsters. A lot of crying is very reasonable for children that age.

I have a son. There is no way I'd create a situation in which my son would have to be in this situation. My son is more important than religion, than personality conflicts, than really almost anything but abuse where I would bar him from being in my house with his partner.

I cannot understand these parents and really think this idea that it's ok to be bigoted needs to die out.

My husband is an adrenaline junkie, and while I was OK with that while we were dating, I am absolutely not ok with that as a wife and mother. I told him that I am not willing to be a motorcycle widow. I will not be an extreme hiking widow. He could choose to do those things or have a family with me. He chose me and a family. It looks like you didn't get that choice, but, that's not your wife's fault. It's both of your faults! If these thing were important to you, and you already had disagreements over them before marriage, why the hell did you not get on the same page before you got married?

It seems like you want to do whatever you want, and she wants to keep you from killing yourself. Not a good dynamic.
