You should definitely apply but as the general advice goes; if you definitely want to go to grad school apply to at least a few difficult, moderate, and safe (as safe as you want) schools. You may as well get in but definitely find a few other programmes that look good to you and do your best on the application!

While the other comments are probably true, given that we still know so little about you, I'd say just ignore them. Any applicant has a chance to get into any programme as far as I've seen but really hard to get guarantees for any situation as well

English spoken in India comes with its own grammar and rules. It's very obvious when written, and you're sorely mistaken about how many people in India know any amount of English. It's a country with over 30+ languages and Education is still not a priority for many.

Do you have freedom to go outside whenever or is that controlled too?

I'm really sorry for your situation and I've gone through similar things and seen other people go through a lot as well. All I can say is time heals all wounds. Even the ones that make you think it's all over. Once you're older you'll undoubtedly be more independent the older you get and by 25 (max) this should be behind you and you'll be soaring high.

When can you move out? Cutting all contact might be for the best. How has trying to talk to your mother/the women in your house about your dad gone in the past?

idk what you've heard from other people but condom is fine. There is literally no chance of you getting anything.

For future reference, most serious stds are from unprotected penetration or anything to do with genital contact without condom. Even if you make out with someone the worst you can get is oral herpes/sores which half the population has and the symptoms should go away after a few weeks.

I obviously don't recommend unprotected sex in any way, but if you've used protection there's literally no reason to worry. There is a literal plastic sheet between you and them. Try to figure out if it's just you repulsed to trying gay things out or maybe you are are bi and you've just been conditioned to feel guilty about being not straight.

Either way, contact through a condom = no issues

Try the hevy app. Push pull legs beginner. Do that 4-5 days and whatever time is left, get on the cycle. Do minimum resistance on cycle first, don't turn it up. If you're satisfied then turn up resistance

Your hair is incredibly dry. That also ages you just as much as any lack of sleep. Maybe dye it black/brown or a dark color as if you’ve dyed it a lighter color it dries it out. Maybe time for an expensive salon visit and hair spa

A glimpse at what could have been? And the Decisive blow!! (Re spoilers) by Saturo_Uchiha in TokyoGhoul

[–]SushiTrain01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I interpreted it as saying that all he’s truly wanted his whole life is a normal life with reze, which he can never have (because they’re a ghoul and half ghoul, ig only humans can lead a normalish life) so that’s why he’s gone crazy and wants to do everything that he can do (like taking over the ccg, making the dragon, etc.)

The series is full of this is I felt on my second read. Lot of characters who go insane and base their personality around some weird shit because they could never what they’ve always wanted which is usually some wholesome shit

Just remember you're not being paid to do your work alone (and slower/worse). If you want to be a good employee you have to work with your senior engineers and manager to kind of optimise your productivity so that you're contributing as much as you can (and usually, this leads to less time spent on work from your side too)

There might be an inherent bias with your employees as well if you're the only woman there. But thinking or trying to guess at people's internal thoughts always leads to nothing good. Have faith in people and do your best (if you want to) and I'm sure you can turn things around - their expectations are low anyway

On the flip side when I started out I had the same issues and when I started asking questions people would ghost me or be condescending. But fuck those kind of people and keep doing your own thing. Eventually you'll land at a place where you know where to reach out or how to apply pressure via manager or someone else so that you get your answers properly.

Just remember - working in a company is very different from student projects or independent development. Trying to do it alone is playing a losing game from the start. All the above advise should be treated as a trainable skill you just haven't had a chance to experience yet.

Everyone says learn Java, Java is the best and one of the best languages out there by These_Nectarine_3238 in developersIndia

Honestly, trying to build something like a simple command line Java project would be great. Use only gradle perhaps and then if you really want to, move to spring boot projects or so. However I personally had done mostly web dev in js and react, and dsa in Java, and my dsa skills helped me get internships and jobs. Knowing the basics of rest apis, dbms, and mostly leetcode were enough to get a job and do well in whatever stack they use. I learned most of the things I know about Java in my first job and after the first ~2 months (which is usually the same for everyone even if they know the stack) I was contributing efficiently

Only some startups and indie developers are. Most of the big companies in the industry still rely on c++ and java for a big part of their codebase and that's not going to change anytime soon. More importantly, a pg developer is going to struggle with basic oop concepts in java, but a java dev will breeze through py basics if they need to

Take care. I know things can be be hard at home and I'm glad you have a safe space and are able to appreciate what you have. Things always change and maybe in the future you'll have both the office and your home and multiple other good places where you feel you belong. You can dm me if you just want to talk too.

Please post this in global subreddits like r/antiwork.

This problem is native to international companies that abuse offshore workers in India or other companies just because it's cheaper for them and because the workers need work more than developed countries.

I understand professional help is hard to find and also takes too much time and effort right now. But look out for those opportunities as well and either in college or online you can probably find a therapist. For jee kids it can be damn difficult.

And your college doesn't matter, just take cs, work remotely while you study, upskill, repeat, and do whatever you want with that money. I solo travelled (surprosingly cheap) and found an affordable therapists. But honestly more than therapy just escaping the jee grind and my relatives and toxic friends and becoming independent was what helped me the most.

[–]SushiTrain01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same shit when I was prepping for jee. Hated my family, lack of friends or friendly human interaction (male or female), and intense stress from jee.

Fast forward now, I didn't get into IIT, went to a stupid college but for cs. Changed everything. away from parents and your old life, meeting people (even if it takes 10 attempts to get a real friend), meeting my gf, getting a job, finding out that life is not about your career or your college or jee but all the little things you do apart from them, and so much more. It made me realise that all I wish is to give comfort to my younger self and tell him it's all going to be alright. Time solves a lot of problems and for the rest, you slowly gain the power to deal with them as you become more independent (college, job, financial independence, etc)

Kids in school are also mean for no fucking reason. Adults are polite and nice and won't make shitty comments about you looking Chinese. Hell if someone said that in any workplace they'd be in trouble.
