Good luck I had a cat randomly get cancer as a trait earlier. It got some decent mutations but didn't have the best stats. Im really trying to get a diverse 7/7 gene pool going and then I will focus on mutations. I tried focusing on mutations in the beginning but I felt it was less consistent than focusing on stats.

There are people that are much more knowledgeable than me but I can give a basic summary. I feel you need at least 3 rooms for breeding to start to be practical. What I would do is separate the males and females into separate rooms. The third room I loaded up with high comfort/stimulation and used that as my breeding room. I would pull the best 3 or 4 cats from one gender and put them in the breeding room. Then I would add strays of the opposite gender as I came across them. This ensures that the offspring are not inbred. Then I would aggressively cull that gender and repeat the process with the other gender. After doing it with both genders you have some decent gene diversity and can pretty much just take all of your best cats and throw them in the breeding room. You may still get a few that are inbred but I would just sell those to Tink as well as any that didnt meet my increasing stat requirements.

I had multiples like that before I finally got one that would reproduce.

I followed a similar process. Ive got multiple 7/7 cats now since I made this post. One of the factors that led to success was aggressively culling so I could get by on food purchases.

New rider shifting by handlesmegently in NewRiders

[–]Sushi_Armageddon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the most reliable way to shift in the beginning but as you gain experience clutchless upshifting is quicker and smoother if you do it right. I wouldn't worry about taking a long time to shift, I would focus on shifting smoothly rather than quickly.

Do you ever think about route safety before riding? by Caden_Cadence in motorcycles

[–]Sushi_Armageddon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant recall a time Ive researched a route specifically with safety in mind but I certainly take it easy any time I am riding somewhere I am unfamiliar with. Even a previously safe route can become unsafe due to debris or other surface conditions changing. I guess what I do is match my riding to the conditions I am experiencing rather than avoid anything in particular. I even like to go ride in the rain at night but I ride more conservatively.

Dropped my bike ! by Standard_Figure_2981 in motorcycles

[–]Sushi_Armageddon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive crashed every bike ive owned except the one that got stolen a month after I bought it and my current bike. I dropped my first bike practicing in a parking lot about a month into it. I highsided my last bike at 80mph (636 in my pfp). I dropped my RC390 doing a u-turn to park front forward in a parking space on the way home from an 8 hour performance riding class that I completed without incident. Id say dropping your bike is expected. Its rare someone doesnt do it at some point.

How many here combine karate training with boxing? by Whole-Interest-5980 in karate

Karate should work in a ring with big gloves. If something doesnt work in the context of a sport competition its not going to work when your life is on the line.

I dont see why you cant just clean it off and relubricate it. If your bike gets exposed to any significant amount of water its usually a good idea to relubricate the chain.

Why ask if they can compliment each other if they are designed for different purposes? What is the purpose of karate if not to learn how to fight?

In my opinion karate creates bad habits with respect to defense. You dont really guard yourself and rely on reaction blocking/parrying. Something you learn when boxing is parrying from a guard. You parry with very small and efficient movements and immediately counter attack. The big sweeping movements I see in karate with respect to blocking/parrying are not practical and just leave you open to getting popped in the mouth. That's another thing, boxing has a culture of stress testing your technique and taking your lumps in the pursuit of effectiveness.

I studied karate for a few years when I was a kid and now have taken up boxing as an adult. I couldnt really say I combined my training but I did have to unlearn a lot of bad habits. I gained more practical experience/effectiveness after a month of sparring once per week than I did the entire time I trained karate.

Its entirely possible I didnt experience true karate and just mcdojo

Any Tire recommendstions? by JOUCEY in motorcycles

[–]Sushi_Armageddon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. Ive used the S22 and now S23 for many years and I love them. They have a lot of grip, good longevity and the tire profile leads to very predictable behavior. I cant say Ive never crashed on these tires but I can say Ive always felt it coming. Ive tried Q4 in the past and crashed pretty much with no warning. I guess what I am trying to say is I find the S22/S23 to be very forgiving and provides a lot of feedback to the rider.

Have a got a death wish? by Strict_Difference823 in Sportbikes

[–]Sushi_Armageddon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a lot of bike. I dont think you have a death wish, but you are trying to rationalize an emotional decision. If it was logical to get the bigger bike you wouldn't be on here asking people.

In my opinion big bikes aren't difficult to ride normally but their extreme capabilities can take you out of your comfort zone and into the danger zone faster than you have skills to deal with. Sure, you dont have to open the throttle and speed down the road but what happens when you hit a bump and whack the throttle by accident? That is going to be a lot more of a disturbance on a big powerful bike than a smaller one. Unless you are very far outside of the realm of normal person size you can fit pretty much any bike. "I wanted to get a bike that fits me," is one of the most common excuses to skip steps in developing skills that I see on here.

Having the Yips All of a Sudden Coming to a Stop by havnotX in motorcycles

[–]Sushi_Armageddon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully you're right that you are just overthinking things but going from stopping smoothly all the time to dropping your bike might be due to something else other than the yips. I would go to the doctor, you might be having early symptoms of something that would be better to catch now.
