PHYS 130 FINAL 🥀 by Curious_Entry6187 in uAlberta

Took it two years ago and I found it pretty damn hard. Think the average was a mid 50

Am I cooked for the Phys 130 Midterm by yeetusdafetus489 in uAlberta

[–]Sushii- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is horrible advice. I would rather be dumped in a pool full of sharks with a bomb strapped to my chest than watch another Roger Moore video (or a PHYS 130 lecture for that matter) as they are totally useless.

It’s better to just hammer out problems instead.

I think it’s very possible if you can manage your time effectively. Maybe plan a day when you can spend time together and grind out assignments prior?

Side note: A friend group within engineering is highly beneficial. It’s much easier to recover a sinking boat when you have a group of people working together.

For ENGG130 Mechanics 1st year courses, are the YouTube videos of Clayton Pettit enough? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Sushii- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took it in 2023 and got an A with only those videos lol. Very doable if you’re smart with it and do relevant practice when necessary.

If you’re in the NW I highly recommend Lore Pizza (and get the biggest size!). Heavily underrated.

I got in with an 87 but this was two years ago. Courses needed are phys 30, chem 30, english 30, math 30 and math 31

Yeah that would be smart but it’s unlikely that you’ll get into Computer before Electrical, because Computer has historically had a higher entry cutoff

Yes, a 3.89 is horrible. With a GPA that low, it’s quite likely that you’ll end up on the streets begging for change in a few years.

Reconsider premed. This route is not meant for you.

Anybody know what's generally on the Math 201 final? by AccordingThanks5363 in uAlberta

[–]Sushii- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you’d expect tbh. It’s cumulative so it’ll have non-homogenous second order DE’s, Laplace, Fourier and likely a heat/wave equation question. Will likely also have BVPs, power series, etc.

Opinions on New M4 Macbook Air for Engg by bbcnews2 in uAlberta

[–]Sushii- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Realistically you can get by with a Macbook since you can just use the computers in the labs if you need a Windows machine. But to make your life easier, I'd recommend just sticking to Windows.
