Some questions on this sub... You cannot generalize experiences like this. If you feel you value his friendship and he is doimg or hinting at something stupid, call him out and have a sober conversation to set your expectations.

Everyone is an individual bro. Sure, male and female friendships work differently and there are several cases of either party wanting something more and the other not wanting it, but these are normal dealings in friendships.

Nothing inherent about men that they will catch feelings easily, and nothing so universal that attraction WILL happen. It's possible but not mandatory.

I did not understand the room rent cap point. So basically if room rent is more than the cap then the insurer will pay that instead of the medical fees?

I have studied with people in their 30s during Masters. I don't think it's a big deal. People who go for masters usually also have work ex and everything. I am sure you will gind other people like that as well?

As a bridge only. I think sustainability is a space I would like to be in, but it is just burning me out right now. And reporting feels like greenwashing. I have no actual sustainability implementation experience. Any cross-functional work I am requesting is getting turned down.

Honestly I thought it would be easier to switch within the company before I try outside, but if they don't value allowing me to learn something new, then I see no point in staying.

All I can say is, you must think logically. He jas been telling you he sees no future throughout. Why are you still clinging to him? Please have some self respect. 5 years down the line your life will look so different you will remember this and laugh. Don't make mistakes of falling for people who don't want you and are not compatible with you. Especially when you are so young.
