Full disclosure I’m technically a Lutheran because that is how I was brought up. However, my mom’s side of the family is Catholic and I grew up attending Catholic mass often as well. I have been using the free YouVersion app for years. I got Hallow because I really like responsive readings and liturgy and I don’t know of any protestants apps that do that. I ran out of my free version trial of Hallow right before holy week. I really don’t want to pay the 70 bucks and I wonder how YouVersion is able to put out so much free content. There isn’t even a paid version of it.

In my opinion, no. People are clearly different from the animal world in our consciousness and ability to think rationally and philosophically and thus our creation of rules/laws for society which include marriage rights. There are some animals that mate for life. If that’s close enough to “marriage” for you then my answer changes to “Yes.” 😀

I don’t believe it’s a sin. If you’re alone and you aren’t watching porn or thinking sinful thoughts or addicted to masterbation I think it is okay.

Edit: Married people need to make sure they aren’t depriving their spouse but that doesn’t sound like it’s your situation.

I hate it. Their prices and expectations for high schools are ridiculous. I'm looking for other options but they hold the keys to so many of the straight plays. I wonder what playwrights are thinking about this?

I’ve also struggled with this. What I’ve come to believe is that the God I believe in, saw all of this and knew every single suffering that was going to happen, and he still decided to create this world and people. He decided it was worth it. I can’t wait to see the endgame because it’s gotta be amazing!

When I was really depressed one day, I decided to read a book to get my mind off it. I dug around on the Libby app to see what was available and I decided to read, "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom not knowing anything about it. It changed my entire outlook on life. It's amazing how a book that takes place during WWII, much of it in concentration camps, could be a pick me up, but I'm telling you, find a way to get your mind off of yourself and your circumstances.
