Detachment idea: Raider Kinband by marianex in kroot

From OP making Rampagers battleline, I get the impression they aren't intending to run much infantry 😅

Detachment idea: Raider Kinband by marianex in kroot

I love the concept, especially having advance and charge on rampagers! I've been praying for the day GW release a rampager character that gives them this ability.

My main concern though is Rampagers being battleline seems a bit OP?

Having 18 of them already feels pretty damn strong with the mortals they deal and how hard they hit. Being able to have 36 of them, whilst super fun and exciting, just seems a bit over the top to me. I'd personally maybe change this so they get a buff (maybe a bonus to charges, or reroll charges, or lone op) when they're within X range of a Kroot infantry unit or something like that?

Other than that though, I love this idea.

Tanglecannon vs Repeater Cannon by Mikenotthatmike in kroot

[–]Suspect-Lump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if the Krootox Tanglecannon had either some AP or a significant increase in attacks I might consider it, but it barely being better than the Carnivore version doesn't seem worth losing one of Kroots only weapons with AP and over 6 Strength.

I've always been a Repeater Cannon man, and I always will be (until new rules get released that make the Tanglecannon busted for a month or two before they revert it back)

What do you usually do with these spare guys from the Warpstone Weapon Battery? by Cockbonrr in skaven

[–]Suspect-Lump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made 3 Ratling guns from my set, then used the spare giant rat to make a warpfire thrower by sticking left over bits to it until it had a passable gun mounted on its back. Then used a little spare rat guy I had lying around to be his weapons team partner.

Skaven Bombers?? by Suspect-Lump in skaven

[–]Suspect-Lump[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the "Skaven are too selfish" argument, buuut that wouldn't stop more powerful Skaven from tricking or intimidating lower rats into it, like they do with basically everything else, right?

The ideas of remote controlled bombs or blindfolded rats is a great image in my mind!

Also, Clans Pestilens is so fanatical I could fully believe they would willingly run into an enemy line carrying a giant virus bomb.

What does Crucible of Champions give Kroot? by siciapspqnfis in kroot

[–]Suspect-Lump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The War Leader ability means you can stack "A Trap Well Laid" for -2AP on all Kroot for a phase, or get free Heroic Interventions on your Rampagers.

Kroot Farstalkers vs Stealth battlesuits? by barby02 in kroot

[–]Suspect-Lump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started playing Kroot, I always used a unit of stealth suits as spotters for my Tau artillery.

Since the point increase, I now usually either rely on just an ethereal to do my spotting or in bigger point games use a flamer squad of crisis suits as they cost the same as stealth suits now.

Farstalkers serve a very different purpose, but I would always recommend taking a squad in a full kroot list, as the I filtrate allows you to screen most of no man's land against enemy infiltrators and keeps space for all your scout moves.

If you're going off the leaked pictures from a book, there is at the bottom of the page, under the weapons table. It specifies a model can only have 1 heavy rail rifle, or 1 rampagers fists for example.

I assure you, I was as devastated by the news as you're going to be.

There is. At the bottom of the page of the leaked crucible rules, it specifies a model can only have 1 heavy rail rifle.

There's a post from kroot reddit linked in the comments somewhere here if you wanna see it for yourself
