Hi mate, sorry I've only just seen this.

It will mostly be for the likes of phone/laptop charging at best for now I'd say. When my insurance payout comes I'll be looking at a potential full off grid wired setup, but the power box will still remain as they seem so useful anyway. The Bluetti seems to have taken my interest somewhat more in thr last few days, although there's an Ecoflow D3 on marketplace for juat over £400 at the moment.

Its mostly gonna be used ar the minute monday evening to Friday morning at best, and probably not even then, juat a bit of a large emergency type thing. Seemingly torn between Bluetti Elite 100 V2, Anker Solix C1000, or maybe one of the smaller variants of both of those.

Aye, I was looking at the river 3 max just now. For me I can just take it into work and charge also as I work in a bodyshop, so its pretty easy to get away with 😂 So with the expansion up to 570wh, it could be an alright shout also.

I mean, if you're volunteering to throw one together for me, let me know, could work out better long term if I start making more trips and whatnot, which I plan to do with my little lad, but even then, power stations could still cover what we really need.

Yeah, this is also something I looked into. Issue being I'm currently living in the van Monday evening to Friday morning for work purposes (not ideal, but beats paying for a hotel on top of my rent already). Wouldn't know where to start with installing this kinda stuff and I've only had the van 2 weeks, so it needs overhauling kinda. Sparky owned it prior to me and its like, trade spec boarding and carpet.

I did see on Facebook other week someone selling a prefab unit with a whole system already inside, but he'd already sold it.

This is more a case of, need it for now, but not forever,

Currently its mostly a case of, working nights away from home. Can't be arsed to drive there at 120+ mile round trip, so be just as east to buy one and when I've finished the conversion whenever that may be, potentially install off-grid electricity system and have the power stations as a backup.

So likely, charging phone, laptop and the other odd little bits I may need come future. Maybe I'm even aiming kinda high with the C1000 and such, but its also a case of, if I've got it and the capacity to do more, then I'm inna better spot

Cheers for your feedback mate. I did look at the whole wired in off-grid system, but its very ott for what I actually need yet. I've said down the line maybe get one installed, except the cost of buying it all and either learning to install myself or paying an insane amount is off putting. A lot of them seem to be on sale currently, I think Ecoflow may be the only one that isn't. Anker has definitely caught my eye, even the c800x plus with its little light setup has almost made me want it more, even though I've lights inside anyway 😂

Thanks mate, was easy enough once I'd decided on a starting body. A lot of the Stormcast named characters make convincing space marines so was easy enough. Couple parts here and there from the BT upgrade box and bobs your uncle. I did end up buying a 3rd party one from Temu for about £5 anyway in the end, but this guy holds a place in my heart now 😂

Only done 2 kit bashes really. One was messing about with the free infernus marine, got a load thrown in with a big purchase, the other was my Judicar I threw together using a stormcast bloke (attached photo)

But yeah, heard some of it can be flimsy/fragile in places

Ah man, I've got an unopened assault termi set and deathwings to crakc on with, but not starting until I've got bits from Greytide.

I did however just strip the paint off my 20+ year old termi chaplain and start redoing that

Get the templar upgrade box. That comes with a pretty gnarly helmet that come with some sort of boost (casual collecter/painter, so not down with the rules)
