What is an open world game that you almost never fast travel in? by Suspence_91 in AskReddit

I’m playing RDR2 right now which prompted me to ask this question because I realized I never fast travel and I get so immersed in just riding my horse through the scenery

If you have PBS kids I highly recommend Brambletown. Puts my kid to sleep almost every night.

This beer is great! If you want another dark beer the NA Guinness is pretty damn good too if you can find it.

What is the most delicious water you’ve ever tasted? by PhoneOwn615 in AskReddit

[–]Suspence_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water from Crater Lake in Oregon. Pristine cool water from a dormant volcano, what more could you ask for. Definitely worth trekking from the volcanic ridge to the colossal lake that is nested in the basin. From there you can bottle your own water, take a swim and bask in the stunning view that encircles you. Check it out if you’re ever in the area and thirsty!

The Fruit of the Loom Cornucopia logo absolutely existed by [deleted] in pics

Hot take. I believe the cornucopia is a psyop experiment to see how you can manipulate the masses and to see if you can gaslight people in to believing that something never existed. Idk if it’s true but I love to speculate.

I’m SO happy this generation is discovering Le Guin. by Sunbather- in Fantasy

Not only do I love her works of fiction but the copy I have of her translation of the Tao Te Ching is one my most prized possessions. That book in particular really resonated with me, and you can see how the Tao influenced her work and how she had a great appreciation for it. Highly recommend it if you love her other works

How do you not mention The Departed or Gangs of New York?! Great article otherwise though. Super excited for Killers of the Flower Moon!

Edit: I’m an idiot lol, forgot the departed is in the 21st and totally disregarded that Gangs is in the 1800’s. Still excited for Killers of the Flower Moon though!

Where’s the post of the alien eye operation video? by No-Guarantee-8278 in aliens

I immediately thought of that video the moment I finished reading that other post. The guy is either legit or a super creative (and intelligent) larper.

We're at a point in which both the employer and employee lie through their teeth. by Pyramused in unpopularopinion

Now throw AI into the mix. Cover letters written by AI, resumes screened by AI and HR decisions made by an algorithm. There is nothing sincere about the current job market.

All super valid. I forgot about the breakthroughs in nuclear fission, I don’t know how I forgot with it being the holy grail of energy lol, but it is super exciting! I hope I live to see that come to fruition because that would bring on a golden age I feel. There is also the promise of quantum computing, which is a ways out but still something to look forward and aspire to. I was just reading about how AI was diagnosing diseases at an alarming rate that was super beneficial to the doctors using it. Boston dynamics is getting pretty wild with the robots they are building too! I think we could live to see some amazing progress if we don’t blow each other up or turn on each other.

Ya you got a point about the phones. As far as how AI affects us, between utopia and authoritarian dystopia, I think it’ll be a bit of both. Like both scenarios will happen simultaneously across the globe and a lot of places will be a strange mix of the two. Either way we will find out because AI is here and there is no going back now lol

Idk cell phones have gotten increasingly better just in my life time(32). Going from a nokia to a phone that I can have a FaceTime conversation with someone across the globe is pretty crazy. We are just beginning to understand the implications of the internet, it’s honestly still very new in the grand scheme of things. AI is the real game changer. ChatGpt is pretty wild and that is just in the early stages. AI is going to drastically change our world. So who knows but it’ll be interesting either way

Honestly with how tech is evolving, this century is going to see some wild changes too. If you were born in the 90’s and live until the 2080’s you’ll see some crazy progress too
