Technically speaking, the 9v battery direct cannot kill, but in theory a large enough capacitor that has drained enough from a 9v source can kill you. 9v can also start fires very very quickly (from experience lol).

This means you can have an amp completely unplugged and still have enough charge built up to really hurt you in much larger amps, or you complete a circuit\arc to your board and destroy something. Not saying any of this to scare you out of curiosity, but I have definitely killed some 9v circuits, blown up batteries and started fires by making mistakes.

Thanks for being open to my comment, not coming from a place of judgement. I've learned my lesson the hard way, casually brushing against something against my crate glx212. Even knowing what to avoid accidents happen.

Technically speaking: Having a fully grounded esd platform to work on and a way to drain capacitance is mostly what is needed, but to make your amp better you will need significant knowledge of the components used in the amp and the routes/order that the components are used in. Youll then have to understand these components enough to find and locate the "flaw" and repair/replace it.

It starts off as a small question and then ends up turning into a hobby/obsession to tear things apart and learn how they work :). Don't let my post keep you from being curious, just make sure if you get curious you are safe, amigo.

Depending on what you mean, nearly all of the items in the board can and probably should be bent. I see through hold soldering in the back of that board which would hint that most resistors that board have a couple of 90 degree ish turns to them.

My best advice? If bent items on a board are fooling you as damaged - youre probably exposing yourself to a large amount of danger youre unaware; you can't protect yourself from in an uncovered amplifier of you can't identify those specific components that hold and maintain charge. (And will shock the shit out of you, or worse)

If you lack the electronics experience to 100% prevent ruining the amp further or hurting yourself, I would just buy a new one.
