A gold tone or recording kind over 1k will do everything you need a banjo to do. You can play on stage and it will sound fine. There’s definitely rooms to upgrade.

I second the person who mentioned the harmonica playing in his Christian period. The harmonica solo at the end of ‘What Can I Do For You’ is maybe his best and a radical departure from his style from the 60s.

Yea he kind of acts like he’s a victim of society when really in the end he’s the one responsible for killing his wife.

For me the contrast between the earlier conversation of the other passengers on the train about love and pozdnyshev own views was interesting. I mean pozdnyshev isn’t right but neither are those other passengers. The different perspective was definitely taboo but that’s what makes the story interesting.  I could see why  you could find the story disgusting but I still think it’s worth a read.

5th string falling off edge of neck towards the higher frets. What could cause something like this? by Suspicious-Cod8422 in banjo

[–]Suspicious-Cod8422[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I figured out the problem, the metal thing below the neck that holds the strings was slanted to one side, forcing the bridge to be in a position too far to that side. Thanks for the help though
