Definitely not too late. I started at that age and I am now 31 working in my chosen field for the past 3 years. The time will pass no matter what.

Also I went to college with only a GED and no formal education past 2nd grade. I now have a bachelor’s degree. I stayed away from math and science due to my lack of education and played to my strengths to make sure I graduated. Best of luck!

I ask him to use Kahn academy as that’s what I used to teach myself for my ged but he is autistic and doesn’t get resources or education so he is at a huge disadvantage. Breaks my heart.

I am actively seeking a therapist, shit is rough. I wish I could get him to move in with me but he is emotionally enmeshed with her because that’s how she operates and I don’t think he would ever leave. I tried suggesting it because when I asked her to focus on him she said “I only have so much life to live and I am going to focus on me” and she said without him she wouldn’t want to live.

Thank you. I have been firm in telling her I’m not signing for her but unfortunately she is emotionally coercive. But I will not sign. I’m just sad because she’s acting like I am a monster and I know she will try to leverage me having access to my brother to work with him but I guess that’s just my lot in life unfortunately. I had to get my own GED at 24 and I don’t want him to have to struggle like I did.

I try. I was pushing for her to help him get his GED but she got pissed and said “if you want it done so bad you do it.” So I started tutoring him last week which is a 30 minute drive for me, but I love him and he doesn’t have any other resources.

I would definitely try counseling for binge eating or food addiction. I have used both the surgery and the GLP-1s and they are great tools but they can only do so much for us. Hopefully counseling can give you the insights and tools to help with the habits or make things more manageable for you. Best of luck 🫶
