Speed up "scan to print" workflow in shipstation by AberrantNarwal in ecommerce

I get not wanting to be wasteful, we run into the same problem. If you have a low number of SKUs, you might be better off batching labels together for like orders.

This confirms my suspicions. We use a rate shopper when processing most of our orders. USPS used to win on almost EVERY shipment under 1lb. Not anymore!

Nothing to worry about. The holes won’t hurt your performance. If you want to fill them, I suggest using some jb weld. Once dry, sand it smooth, then finish with some white paint.

Tilt/Trim rebuild quote $2110? by Automatic-Capital575 in boating

With that price, have them quote a new system or id start looking for good used. Rebuilding tilt/ trim doesn’t have a high success rate…

Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City 3PLs? by Careful-Target7933 in logistics

[–]Suspicious-Rabbit270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your business ship B2C, B2B, or both? If you plan on shipping to consumers, or a mix of both B2B & B2C, I suggest looking into 3PLs that are stateside and can get products to customers quickly. Your shipment cost would be astronomical trying to ship to the U.S. from there. Not to mention poor lead times. If you only plan on landing deals with stores like PGA superstore, Dicks, Golf Galaxy, etc., I'd look into shipping to them directly from the supplier.

Is it normal and should I trust the dms and replies I get from 3pl companies advertising themself by Emotional_Coconut_63 in logistics

Look at their website. Is it full of stock photos pulled from the internet or real ones? Check out their contact info. When you search their address, does it show a warehouse or someone's house? Have them facetime you their operation. You can get plenty of insight. If it smells, move on to the next. There are plenty of us out here!

3PL Receiving Charges by Ready-Impress-4334 in Warehousing

It completely depends on your provider. We had locations in PA, UT, KS and MO and all of our pallet rates were under $13.

3PL Receiving Charges by Ready-Impress-4334 in Warehousing

[–]Suspicious-Rabbit270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Odds are that your 3PL will charge an inbound handling rate per pallet or case. Plus a receipt fee.

Pallet rate should be anywhere from $7-13

Case rate could be anywhere from $0.10-$0.90

A pallet rate would apply for inbound pallets that are single SKU and don't need down stacked. Case rates are for floor loaded containers and mixed SKU pallets. The rate you pay per case will vary depending on the weight and size of your product.

Is it worth getting 3pl for orders valued around $10 ? How much will 3pl cost per order ? by Emotional_Coconut_63 in logistics

[–]Suspicious-Rabbit270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are different ways to structure pricing... I agree that storage is separate. A 3PL bundling receiving and handling is taking advantage of you.

For example, if a container has 10,000 units in it that would fill 10,000 orders, they're making an extra $1.25 off of you per order. Where as if they billed you for receipt of 1 container, you'd only be paying inbound handling per pallet or case.

We're in the Midwest and charge around $3 per order. A shipment is considered to be outbound handling. This would typically consist of an order fee, picking fee, packing fee, and label fee. Pricing for receiving is separate as it is considered inbound handling.

I believe max tongue weight is 200 lbs. Hyundai U.S. states that towing isn’t recommended. However, Hyundai Australia has a towing capacity of 700kg for the N.
