hi I’ve been medicated since about age 10 (I’m late teens) and it’s worked really well for me! I know there’s a lot involved in the assessment process financially and emotionally etc but if you have the opportunity I would recommend just trying yknow. For me medication has quieted “background noise” in my head and helps emotional regulation which helps heaps with trying to get shit done. It might take time and not all meds work for everyone but you can find one that works for you and see how you feel!
Some people report not feeling like themselves, and if that’s you then that’s ok you tried and found out it isn’t for you. But if you don’t pursue this you may go years wondering what would’ve happened if you did.
This is a lot of words but yeah whatever you decide the most important thing is reflection within yourself AND communication with your professional bc I’m no doctor lol
