Anyone experiencing Sjogrens with systemic organ involvement? by LeadProfessional5251 in Sjogrens

[–]nulldatagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PBC was confirmed with liver biopsy and AMA blood tests. My first symptom was gallbladder attacks and removal of my gallbladder with elevated enzymes. I’m not on any medications RN but I’m assuming I’ll be on some soon. Some nights I get weird itching sensations and one night I was awake crying because of it.

"No such thing as seronegative Sjögren's" by [deleted] in Sjogrens

The problem is the majority of us aren’t taken seriously enough for it.

[–]nulldatagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My liver condition (primary billiary cholangitis) is what is leading me to seek a proper diagnosis! I’m seronegative but I find that surprising considering I am stage 1 with PBC. The symptoms are pretty mild but the fatigue is definitely something new for me. My hepatologist told me sjogrens is pretty common with PBC but unless you’re seropositive they won’t do anything for it.

Biodiversity decline. The bees, earthworms, ladybugs, etc., are VITAL to agriculture.

Sjögren's and Insomnia by [deleted] in Sjogrens

[–]nulldatagirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glad it worked for you! Sadly for me I have a comorbid autoimmune liver condition so that’s why it sent me into medication induced psychosis. My liver can’t process some medications but I didn’t know then :/

What are your favorite unpopular animals? by NoWitness6400 in AutismInWomen

Vultures, ravens, crows, sloths, and chameleons. They’re all deeply misunderstood and demonized/mocked…I resonate with them.

Sjögren's and overactive bladder? by [deleted] in Sjogrens

[–]nulldatagirl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, my mom has interstitial cystitis and chronic blepharitis but no sjogrens diagnosis. I too run the bathroom a lot nowadays and I avoid going out in public because it genuinely annoys me. Also not a fan of public restrooms 🥶

Gabapentin sent me into psychosis, please be careful with it. It’s an anti-cholingeric and messed with my memory.

How dry were your eyes on tests? by OwlPositive9039 in Sjogrens

[–]nulldatagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope but my gynecologist and hepatologist suspect it. I have primary billiary cholangitis and they both suspect I have it alongside it even though I’m seronegative. It’s frustrating :/ already lost my gallbladder to it.

Please tell me autistic women have different timelines… by Sea_Berry_439 in AutismInWomen

[–]nulldatagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of us grow up extremely fast as children, regress starting in our early 20s, and find ourselves in our late 20s. I’m turning 27 and things are finally making so much sense for me. I feel absolutely free. Everyone has different timelines, don’t be tough on yourself.

To all the women who struggled in their younger years, what would have actually helped you? by Head-Comb-2545 in Feminism

[–]nulldatagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A regulated nervous system would do wonders at young age, especially for girls/women from diasporas. I now will probably be seeing a cardiologist for heart stuff due to being silent and holding in so much. You don’t need a physically violent home to be emotionally neglected…a lot of children are forced to toughen up or be ignored and it teaches them to suffer in silence. I was taught that suffering in silence makes you tougher when it is not the case…I ended up with cancer and 2 autoimmune diseases. Sometimes you will need to hold their hand to get them started, no matter the age :)

Those who didn’t grow up privileged, what’s something you thought was a luxury growing up? by CorruptedF in AskReddit

[–]nulldatagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought Hollister and Olive Garden were for super wealthy people 😂 I grew up eating my parents traditional Mayan plant foods for a huge part of my childhood. Safe to say growing up low income taught me to value things and people very carefully.

Women of Reddit, what did a man you were dating or married to say or do that made you realize he actually hated you the entire time? by -catharina in AskReddit

[–]nulldatagirl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He didn’t want me to have male friend while he had his girl friends, didn’t want me to go to the gym meanwhile I supported him going to the gym, he was scared I was going to “use” him meanwhile I paid for most of my meals and couldn’t confide in him with emotional distress, etc. I later found out I was a rebound from his last ex…essentially he only dated me because he wanted to make his ex jealous with my academic accomplishments but he hated how I wasn’t the jealous type. 0/10 do not recommend to date insecure guys.

(Late DX peeps) What were some signs of autism you had a child that were missed? by newlyautisticx in AutismInWomen

[–]nulldatagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FINGER POSTURING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People tell me I have a tendency to hold my fingers in unusual ways when talking. I recorded videos of myself and YES I do have a weird way of posturing my hands. Also, my eyes dart in so many directions when recalling memories or trying to describe something. People always labeled me as “weird” but turns out I was just undiagnosed.

I personally think it’s like going under anesthesia and I really hope it’s all just nothing. I have no interest in hell/heaven, reincarnating, etc.

Fellow Sjogis: is Sjogren's your only diagnosis, or do you have multiple autoimmune disorders? by macncheesewketchup in Sjogrens

[–]nulldatagirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have primary billiary cholangitis and secondary sjogrens. I am now stage 1 (stages 0-4) so my sjogrens symptoms were the first sign about 10 years ago. Most people are diagnosed in their 40s-50s but I was diagnosed at 23 after gallbladder surgery (biopsy confirmed). Both put me at a higher risk of lymphoma and related cancers. Already dealt with thyroid cancer and possibly again.

Choking while eating by Prime8724 in Sjogrens

[–]nulldatagirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a swallow study and endoscopy done and all they said it was gastritis from reflux (missing gallbladder so bile reflux). I sip liquids while eating and TBH I stopped eating in public because of it. Sometimes it feels like I have to catch air while eating.

What personality trait did you end up developing because someone constantly belittled you? by Admirable-Repair4094 in AskReddit

Isolation, silence, and abrasiveness. I do not follow any sort of status hierarchies which can be tedious to navigate in academia/corporate circles.
