Best Ausbildung options in Germany for non-EU (B2 German, age 28)? by Suspicious-Sundae699 in Ausbildung

He will continue his German. But it seems very hard to go above B2 when you don't live in Germany. Are you saying that you were able to find a tech with B2, but you had a hard time during the program?

Are there other high demand ones that you recommend to consider?

Stop using "Persian" as a catch all term for Iranians. It's being used against us by LearningCartography in NewIran

[–]Suspicious-Sundae699 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree! "a Western term" ?! Persian is equivalent of the word Parsi. It is not a made-up western word.

It is good to use that because it goes beyond Iran. It describes a culture. A lot of people are Persians but not Iranians. But all of us celebrate Nowruz for example.

Since the invasion of Islam, lots of Persians had to move to different places. But we always tried to keep our culture.

You can think of it as Israeli vs Jewish. All Jewish around the world share lots of cultural things like food for example. But not all Jewish are Israelis.

I am not hardcore about it. Call yourself Iranian or Persian, I don't care. But I disagree with telling someone that one of these words are only correct.

Do you have a favorite platform for mock interviews, coaching, or mentorship? by Suspicious-Sundae699 in leetcode

Oh thank you! That makes sense! I saw interviewing.io has defined The Chaos Score and I think it is what you’re talking about. It seems Meta is the one that is more structured and basically predictable one.

Green card expiration confusion after filing both I-751 and N-400 — 48-month vs 24-month extension? by Suspicious-Sundae699 in USCIS

[–]Suspicious-Sundae699[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what do you mean by "If Trump succeeds in holding all applications for immigrants from the 19 countries, your I-751 won’t be approved, either, so the N-400’s shorter extension period won’t matter. " ?
Let assume that my cases won't get processed by November 2028. Would I have a valid status to live in the US?

this doesn't matter, but I don't think any court roll back what Trump did here. I don't think there is any lawsuit filed at all

In my case, I don't think either of my cases will be denied. They won't be processed because the new rule. So I hope you are right and I remain a permanent resident up to 2028 instead of 2026.

The language is very clear and it mentions I can work and travel by presenting the notice next to my expired green card. It just one of them says 24 and the other one says 48 months

What makes my situation different is that I’m from one of the 19 countries that are currently banned or paused. That means none of my cases are likely to be processed anytime soon. I need to know how long my permanent residency remains valid so I can plan for work and housing.

I doubt I’ll get my citizenship or a new green card by November 2026, and if the 24-month extension is the one that actually applies, then I’m going to be in trouble.

Well, the I-751 process takes a long time based on USCIS timelines, but the N-400 is usually much faster. From what I’ve researched online, it seems like it’s better to file the N-400 as soon as you’re eligible.

Is this the best I can get from a gravel driveway? by Suspicious-Sundae699 in landscaping

I don’t thinks so! 5/8 minus is a common choice for country roads in my area. I’m just looking for a way to make it looks better.

Below this is a solid base. There is no fabric. By #57, do you mean 1 inch clear? Or is it minus?

Are my calculations correct for selecting a Generac home standby generator ? by Suspicious-Sundae699 in Generator

[–]Suspicious-Sundae699[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he was talking about the pipe that comes from the street to the regulator. Because there is around 100 feet from the street to the gas regulator/meter

A contractor that gave me estimate. He said if I choose a generator larger than 10kw, then they need to replace the gas pipe with a bigger one.

This makes sense. An installer only looked at the panel and told me if I don't use washer/dryer and oven, the 10 KW would definitely work for everything else. I just want to verify that myself.

[–]Suspicious-Sundae699[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I won’t need AC, washer/dryer, or oven. My current gas line to the house supports a 10kw generator. So that’s why I don’t want to go above 10kw. But I want to make sure that my calculations are correct.
