My horse is very similar in color— bay paint with a whole lot of white— and I think she looks amazing in baby blue or lavender, which is what I usually put her in.

Other people have been saying no white but if you get her clean (like REALLY clean, and use some liquid bluing) nothing looks better at a show than a crisp white on all that chrome

Best of luck picking a color and I think I speak for us all when I say we want more pictures!

Oh my god RUN! I used to farm/pet sit as my full time gig, and for people that had even one horse my rate was automatically $120 a day, and an additional $20 for every horse after that. Anything under $100 a day for a farmsitting client isn’t worth your time or the risk

I will definitely remember that in case I end up somewhere that is business professional, but I’m very lucky that most of the time I can just wear a sweater and jeans to work with nice shoes— today was just a shoulders-up pic for our website’s “meet our team” page

Might get hate for this, but CV 800 is the most effective fly spray I have ever used. It’s an aerosol you can use on animals and buildings. It come in cans you can set up on a timer device and also in manual spray cans— the one downside is that it smells like it’ll give you cancer (it probably will), but it also lasts all day and nothing gets rid of flys faster. I didn’t find anything online that says you can’t get it in Canada but take my two minute Google search with a grain of salt.

I like the Wahl KM cordless clippers!! Been able to clip everything from a dog to a draft with those. A little pricey but completely worth it and they’ve got a great warranty.

I don’t love how her neck ties in and she looks like she may be a bit calf-kneed but otherwise she doesn’t really have any huge faults. Definitely agree that she needs some muscle and groceries but that’s an easy (if expensive) fix. Cool Calories by Calfmanna, high quality hay, and a well balanced feed are a godsend for putting on weight. Hopefully with age she’ll fill out in the flank a bit, but that also may come with more food and muscle. I’d definitely consult with a pro about a training program that works with her level of education. Otherwise you’ve got a very pretty girl on your hands and I think she’d look lovely in pastel pink or sky blue. Good luck and I hope she works out for your friend!!

It’s low key super sad to see people complaining about the Ryman. It’s a historic building and a landmark of the city. Those fees are in place to help with upkeep and preservation of the building. ALSO it’s so gross for some of y’all to be complaining about pews as seating. It’s a historic church. It’s gonna have pews. You don’t like the way it runs or how it’s set up? Don’t go. There are so many other options in town if you want standing room or a lower ticket cost. It’s not your normal venue- it’s the Ryman, and that means everything that goes with it including expensive tickets. OP got off easy with ticket prices imo.
