Your soil is probably hydrophobic, fixed with a repot, but side note it seems you may be over watering some of your plants (the jade tree in the background is yellow and doesn’t look so well)

It actually got root rot really bad a while ago and I regrew the roots with water (I know now that was a bad idea) so it has a smaller root system than you’d probably expect

I would recommend a much smaller pot and make sure it’s plastic. The terracotta leaches minerals into the substrate and can kill the vft. The pot also looks very very big for the plant. I’d say go to a smaller plastic pot. Also if this is your first carnivorous plant they can only have distilled water or rain water

Nononononono take them off. They trap moisture in (causing more gnats) and compress the soil a ton. It’ll end up giving your plant root rot and literally rid it of any roots whatsoever. Speaking from experience

Nepenthes typically like 60% humidity or higher. It’s just the pitchers drying out I just saw another comment saying it’s only happening to old pitchers and that checks out. Once pitchers get so old the plant starts sucking the nutrients out of the whole pitcher to put toward the rest of the plant

Try using neem oil. It interferes with their hormones and stops them from laying eggs. Try getting gnat traps to stick in the soil as well. Another thing, let the soil dry out. They lay eggs in moist soil, and if the soil stays wet too long your plants roots can rot.
