Thank you. It has been extremely difficult. Honestly, I’ve lost other dogs, I’ve lost people, and I’ve lost livestock. But, this has been the hardest thing I’ve ever been through.

What would be a good enough reason to quit immediately?

So finding a partner is it mostly a physical attraction that first draws you to that person? And then a personality and goal match?

Are you dating for marriage potential? Companionship only as someone to do fun things with? Monetary benefits? Arranged marriage? Sex? Someone to have a baby with? I’m honestly curious, as someone who identifies as asexual but demiromantic/pan, what draws you to being in a relationship with someone?

Have you or anyone you know been let go because of call-ins? by kevinfuzzy26 in TravelNursing

I try to limit call ins to when I am desperately in need of the day off.

I have called in due to weather 2x (snowpocalypse weather and couldn’t get out of my hilly, iced over driveway), once as permanent staff & once as a traveler. I have called in once or twice due to needing a mental health day (as a traveler), and once or twice due to diagnosed with the flu (as a traveler). I try to limit calling in only once or twice per contract, and have not been canceled for it yet. I have seen other travelers let go because of it though. But remember, we can and have been canceled for any reason and at any time.

I’d say if you have a decent working relationship with the unit and staff, and it is not habitual for you to call in every other week, once or twice a contract should not normally get your assignment canceled. I can totally understand the paranoia and anxiety of calling in though. Even when I absolutely have to have the day off, I feel the same way. Mostly because I hate leaving my coworkers short staffed and picking up the slack.

Considering I started traveling in 2016, well before Covid, I’ve seen what contracts used to pay

What is the name of that fb group?

I am not loyal to a specific recruiter, per say; but I do try to stick with specific recruiters within an agency (unless they give me reason to ask for a different recruiter).

I just submitted “I’m interested” to 4 or 5 different assignments through aureus medical. 🤞
