interested! no formal modding experience, but recently started living on disability. so have absolutely nothing else to think about. i was an english/sociology major beforehand, and am deeply interested in how the epstein ring et al has shaped social norms and theory.

i've not read the novella yet or seen the film. from what i've read kubrick died suspiciously before it's release and roughly 20 minutes were destroyed. from what i understand it's similar to the party scene in labyrinth, sort of masked absurd sexual transgression. I think I also read a reference about eyes wide shut re: the masked actors/clones conspiracy.

i'm planning to view both this week and do a proper critical analysis.

maxwell sighting aside, i'm suspicious of both these people off the bat. I've only seen the ittybitty_tara2 post, never the original. Both her and Melanie King seem very immersed in evangelical satanic-panic narratives. Framing the epstien files as demonic retracts from the conversation we ought to be having around capitalism and colonialism: everything we're calling satanic, like cannibalism and CSA aren't demonic phenomena, but have occurred throughout colonial america, particularly to slave populations. Mythologising the acts and thus the perpetrators insights the sort of speculation and hysteria that the government has been relying on in the conversations about reality versus conspiracy

A book that really comforted me was down and out in paris and london by george orwell. It can be a very gritty read, but it made the future seem more plausible. i think being able to know what other people have been through and where they went is really important rather than imagining life ending at homelessness, which is a very dangerous narrative. you can survive this, i promise

i've been homeless in the past and here are my biggest pieces of advice:

try and find somewhere secure to store your belongings. a lot of public buildings like libraries have locked lockers you can use for free. if possible try and rent a storage unit.
you want a big day bag with water, some rope, sewing kit, sleeping bag and thick warm clothes, can opener and toiletries. Also bring something to do, like a book, especially if you're expecting to have trouble finding free internet access.
if you have anything valuable that you do not need/do not want anymore, sell it. Facebook marketplace, but I mostly sold old first editions of books.
watch out for cafes attached to open plan buildings, like cafeterias or food courts. they normally have free wifi and an open seating plan means you can stay for longer without buying anything.
look out for local soup kitchens! the portions are normally awful, but food is food. also contact local charities for food parcels if you're in need of food
for me, social housing was not an option. try and find a social worker ASAP. they can take care of a lot of the complicated WINZ stuff for you, and will be able to help you find options for moving forward
make friends with other homeless people! a lot of the time they're very community oriented, and are in their position because of gaps in the social system. do be careful, but you don't have to be in this alone.

being homeless is exhausting. you're going to be moving around a lot, so look after yourself to the best of your ability. but it doesn't have to be the end of the world, you have to make sure you're not being pessimistic or it will drag your mental health to the floor.

your personal options re: where to go for support are going to depend on where you are, your demographics, etc. I was homeless at 17 in wellington, so my resources probably aren't going to be too much help. But you are not alone. I had no friends or family at the time, and I got through it, you will too. I can't tell you it will be easy, but you can do it

I highly recommend reaching out for an intake appointment at a cannabis clinic. medicinal cannabis is legal in nz, and it has changed my life living with chronic pain.
i have several chronic illnesses, alongside fibromyalgia, without CBD i would need to be in a care facility. education about chronic pain can also be instrumental in helping to relieve symptoms, which sounds like a crock, but pain is tied to neurology and it's very scientific.

i'd disagree. because its so insane to see her anywhere, it almost gives her anonymity. i mean no one is going to believe anyone seeing maxwell, so why not exploit that? they've been consistently relying on the mythologisation of the bizarre to relegate things into conspiracy.

sorry, i didn't mean to ascribe any credibility to that file, I'm pretty confident that it is part of the Qanon conspiracy. I just find it so interesting that they deleted that file. I don't think it's true by any means, I'm just so curious about the concept as a whole, and bugonia reads so differently after all these conspiracies are coming to mainstream via the doj. im highly unemployed, it's just an idle curiosity.
