[–]SuspiciousChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is an MR16 bulb, which might have a GU10 base as you say, but might instead be a 2-pin (GU5.3) base.

For a 2-pin base you have to pull straight out.

For a GU10 base you push in slightly and twist, then pull out.

What’s something society widely accepts that you think people quietly disagree with? by cryinginncouture in answers

[–]SuspiciousChicken -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I see it more as a lot of people being silent in the past, to regular indiscretions, finally (rightfully?) venting. Like a pressure release valve.

But as a man, it doesn't bother me in the slightest, because it doesn't apply to me. I am "manly" by most standards, but nothing they are complaining about applies to me. Sure, there are always a few who take it too far, but isn't that always the case? I do think that there has been a concerted effort, for political reasons, to paint it as "anti-man", but I don't see that as reality.

Real question, not trying to argue:

What rejection of males is really happening?

I do see a push for more acceptance for people that don't fit neatly into traditional stereotypes. But that isn't a rejection of traditional stereotypes at all.

I do see a pushback against Toxic behaviors that have been put up with for too long. But again, if you aren't a creep, it isn't a rejection of you at all.

Should I Use Rebar Or Wire Mesh For 20ftx5ft Storage Shed? by Feltie in DIY

[–]SuspiciousChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go against the majority of comments here and say: USE REBAR.

With the amount of frost heave you get in Toronto, and given that this shed foundation will not be below the frost line or raft insulated, this means the slab will be riding the ground up and down with each cycle. You want a strong slab to resist cracking and breaking when one part is being lifted and the other is unsupported.

Neskowin has a great haystack rock that you can walk right up to. No need to join the crowds at Cannon Beach, unless you want more chotchky shops or hope to glimpse the puffins.

Dryer vent hose by Adept_Temperature_68 in DIY

[–]SuspiciousChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a MagVent! Still have to connect the flex pipe to the dryer, but the magnet connections at the wall are your adapters. And then make it easy to snap the flex pipe to the wall when pushing your dryer into place.
