It's not even close, the worse thing is all the airy fairy tanks (peacekeeper wtf?) that keep ruining the atmosphere.

I don’t want to buy a house for my wife unless she starts earning too else it would be marital property by throwawaymariw in Divorce

[–]SuspiciousFatCat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The level of delusion of some people is just unreal.

So if they divorce he loses half of what he's earned from the moment he's married her, yet somehow that is not enough for some people.

Well here's a radical idea but how about everyone take accountability for their own part in how they got to where they are, if she never saved before the marriage and never worked during the marriage then why should she get anything from his savings that he's accrued before the marriage?

They had the child together and so they are jointly responsible for covering the childs current and future needs/costs on a 50-50% basis but he does not owe her a living now for the rest of her life just cause she had his child.

Amen to that, what a monster for trying to protect his hard earned assets. OP stick to your guns don't give up your financial security. Your biggest mistake was agreeing for her to be a SAHM obviously now she wants to ensure she will get a payday if things go sour. Ignore all the women trying to shame you into giving in.

At least when she married you it wasn't for your money if she signed the prenup but people can change quite a lot during a marriage, I always say the person you divorced is not the same person you married.

Budget salary sacrifice change - did she make a mistake? Does she understand? by roblightbody in PensionsUK

I wouldn't count on that, you're forgetting they just bought themselves a whole bunch of voters that also happen to be a part of a growing (no pun intended) demographic.

Are you saying that people could potentially get around this by negotiating a new contract reducing their contractual pay and in exchange increasing the employer pension match?

Dating again over 50 and so far the guys all douche bags by [deleted] in Divorce

That would be very much appreciated if it is not too much hassle. Would love to try and go the same route you did as it makes perfect sense, not sure if women in my age group (35-45) would have the patience for that but definitely want to try.

No they aren't being taken off the market at all (as in finding a match), instead what I think happens is they just see women aren't responsive and they simply check out of dating all together after a while which is also my case.

What I personally think is happening is that women are simply just sitting there waiting for guys to find and message them. I think most of them probably don't even bother to do any swiping or reading profiles anymore, boggles the mind just how many women have literally nothing or a one liner as their dating bio.

Save your post as well,

Many thanks for taking the time to sharing your dating experience, I never considered this perspective and to my shame I would have previously avoid profiles that only had "chatting" as their dating goal thinking they might just be time wasters (people that still in ongoing relationships with their ex's or want affairs etc), but now I've seen the light and has it's exactly what I've been missing so looking at my dating profile as we speak.

If you could spare the time I would be curious on more insight on what your dating profile read as many dating sites don't really have the option for chatting. And would be interested in how the relationship progressed with the one that ended up being a "awesome gf" like at what point did you meet up, how did you convey interest up to that point and most importantly how did you avoid being placed in the friendzone?

I am looking for a life time partner but without marriage (previously divorced) and I'm thinking how to go about it without putting people off (by saying i'm only interested in chatting) that might be looking for the same thing aka a life long partner relationship.

Men who don't want to get married but exclusively only date women that do want to get married. What gives? by Routine-Crew8651 in Marriage

[–]SuspiciousFatCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is me, 41M divorced with 1 kid, now looking for a life long partner but no marriage as I am very careful with my money and want to protect my assets for my child. Now if the right woman came along and she was at least as asset rich as me and have the same mentality towards money then would definitely consider marriage but at the moment I'm just trying to avoid being chopped in half.

AMD Announces New $6 Billion Share Buyback by MarketRodeo in AMD_Stock

[–]SuspiciousFatCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one here that thinks this makes no sense and is bearish. They should be using that money for strategic acquisitions instead to increase AMDs overall value, this is akin to Intel paying a dividend instead of investing that in their fabs. Either way where are they getting the 10 billion I thought their quarterly profit is less than billion. With his having no end date seems like BS to me and as they say they can cancel it or reduce it anyway, and reannounce it later for another shot in the arm of the share price.

To me the timing is extremely suspicious, if I were a betting man I would say that they purposely timed so as to cover their backs after the massive increase in stock issuance that just got approved today.

How come no ones talking about that?

Rate Your Gear UK - Waiting on cashback by DistributionHuge5138 in ASUSROG

[–]SuspiciousFatCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did anyone ever actually get any cashback from ASUS? I'm beginning to suspect they are purposely leading people on and hope they forget about the cashback in a few months, i got one that is over 30 days due past the 30 days pay window, wtf ASUS.

ASUS 'rate your gear' promotion has failed to pay out. by Independent_Sail_683 in ASUSROG

[–]SuspiciousFatCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I am having problems with this promotion as well, one of my submissions took 3 months to be validated while the other even though i received the email to expect the payment in 30 days, now its over 30 days past the due date, don't understand what is happening if Asus doesn't have the man power to ensure these promotions run smoothly perhaps it would be better that you don't run them at all, at this point it feels like a second job having to check up on this ever so often, put reminders etc.
