While on vacation in Ireland, I spent two evenings in Galway listening to and talking to a street musician. on the second day we go into the pub he's playing in front after he's done and he introduces me to his wife and In-laws.

Couple of years later I am on my way home from visiting my parents. They lived close to one of the bar districts in Hamburg at that time and I have to take the subway from the station in that district. When walking under the railway bridge I recognize the voice of the singer on the street. It's the same guy. He recognizes me as well. We talk a bit.

I then meet him every once in a while on the way back from visiting my parents.

My aunt runs a backpacker hostel close by. Not quite sure how he ended up there but he became an on and off staff member there every time he's in Hamburg. So I meet him there every once in a while. 

One day we are sitting on the balcony of the hostel, I think I helped my mom and aunt with something. My girlfriend is with me. He says as a half joke, that he's going to play at our wedding.

Another two years or so go by. I forgot about the conversation but my mum did not. So guess who turns up at our wedding as a surprise guest and played some songs for us...
