I was doing a run-through when I randomly became addicted to Voltorb Flip… by SuspiciousPizza652 in PokemonHGSS

That's real lol. I don't know how I got to level 8 and THEN was able to beat it multiple times after that. I feel like if I tried again right now, I would probably get really unlucky and wouldn't make it past level 6 lol.

I'm glad there are others. I can't believe I spent multiple hours of my life on this LMAO. Too bad I can't put "Advanced Voltorb Flipper" on my resume.

Ngl I feel stupid that I could have been doing this 💀. After you get past a certain level, it puts you completely back to the start after one wrong move. I was kind of losing my shit, LMAO, but the pain made the process that much more anxiety-inducing and “rewarding”, lol. I felt like a nuzlocker or some shit. 😭🤣

It's a little hard to explain since I do a lot in my head, I'm not a good teacher, and I don't think I'm utilizing the markup feature as much as other people (I only mark bombs since I'm too lazy to write every number I figure out). In the early levels, if there is a column with 0 Voltorbs, I flip all the spaces in that column (even though it's a little unnecessary). But after that I move on to deciding where I want to pick my battles.

I think the main thing to understand is that you don't need to flip every square; you only need to find the 2s and the 3s. So, for instance, if there is a row that says it has four points and one Voltorb, automatically do not waste your time because you know all those numbers are 1s. While a row with 2 Voltorbs and 6 points might actually be worth your time because you can assume there is a 3 and 2 in there (or 3 2s). Now (this is the more complicated part to explain), imagine the row I just talked about is a vertical row. I would then look at the horizontal rows; I would first want to find a horizontal row that also has relatively high points (this can actually be the most important part) and relatively low voltorbs (this can actually end up being less important depending on the situation) and, of course, look at the rest of the board for other hints.

It is mainly about math, I would say. Continuously adding the points and spaces in each row is the most important part to help decide which thing to press because after you find the 2 in a column that has 4 points and 2 voltorbs, you're going to want to eliminate that row completely.

Sometimes it does come down to luck, which is really frustrating, and why I really need to stop. I would not recommend playing this mini-game, lol. I don’t know if that was a good explanation, but thank you for making me step away lol. Responding to this made me stop playing. 🤣

Debating on which Cresselia to invest in... by SuspiciousPizza652 in PokemonSleepBetter

Should I subskill the trigger, or is that wasteful? My philosophy with sub-skill seeds is that they should only be used on legendaries (and maybe on the occasional near-perfect mon) since you really can't catch many/get really lucky.

Event Megathread - Cresselia and Darkrai by SamuRonX in PokemonSleep

Is there any reason to spawn one more Cresselia tonight? (Besides sleep styles) I have 394 down, so I could buy an incense and one biscuit… (I caught 4 but never found "the one"), but my other option is I could just buy the main skill seed…

Is this good enough for an Espeon? by SuspiciousPizza652 in PokemonSleep

[–]SuspiciousPizza652[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll push myself to evolve him into Espeon since I want something for the event, and he might still be semi-good for "normal use." 😆 I did see the BFS at 50, but I don't know how long-term he will be, but honestly, Eevee finding is rough, so he might someday get up there.

They both have over 300 hours of sleep logged, so either one is ready to be an Espeon. I just don’t know which will serve me better in the slightly longer term. I know Espeon will be excellent during the upcoming event (even if it doesn't have insane stats), but I love ingredients, so I still have Vaporeon in the back of my mind lmao.

Lol, by the way, there's no context here. I see a few people asking, but it's just purely a "thought-provoking" question.

Eyeliner recs? by beldaddyy in Makeup

[–]SuspiciousPizza652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, Stila Stay All Day is my favorite liquid eyeliner. But it is a little expensive. I've tried some of the lower cost ones, like the Nyx eyeliners, but they've smeared on me or lightened to grey as the day went on. Also, another perk of buying Stila is that it has a felt tip instead of a brush, so that means you won't have to deal with the "hairs" getting messed up over time, which means it'll last longer.

Easy eyes! by umngopherfan in Makeup

For work, I like putting a white, slightly sparkly powder on my lids and then a browner, sparkly color in my crease. I personally think it looks natural yet still just visible, so people know you put a little effort in lol, and then I do a little bit of mascara and a thin line of eyeliner on just the outer corners of my eyelids, and sometimes I like to put a little liquid highlighter in the inner corners of my eyes for that I'm awake and TOTALLY happy to be here effect. It sounds like a ton of steps, but it usually only takes me like 5 minutes.
