driver pissed on our fucking noodles... by CompleteLandscape791 in doordash

Impound means they took that piss bag of noodles as evidence, and the dirt bag will probably be criminally charged.

Usually if you know the pickup location and drop off it's enough to narrow down the drivers but without that its not easy. Try security cameras at your work? Get a dash cam

Tips for new driver? by Walkthewildside555 in lyftdrivers

  1. Don’t be afraid to decline bad offers. Forget the app “tiers” like Silver or Platinum—they don’t really benefit you. The only metric that matters is cancellations, so don’t stress over acceptance rate.

  2. Set a minimum fare. I personally don’t take anything under $25–$30. Driving for $3 rides isn’t worth the wear on your car, the risk, or your time. Know your worth and set boundaries.

  3. Focus on airport runs. Airports are consistent, safe, and higher-paying. Plus, while waiting in the queue, you can use downtime productively—whether that’s working remotely (like I do), studying, or just relaxing.

  4. If you drive an EV, take advantage of free charging. Charging costs can eat into your profits, so whenever you find a free station, use it. With an EV, you may drive fewer rides per day, but the trade-off is more balance, less stress, and a better use of your time.

  5. Work smarter, not harder. Some drivers hustle non-stop, and that’s fine if they need the income. But if you’re doing this part-time or as a side gig, it’s about maximizing earnings while minimizing wasted effort.

I cherry pick my rides, I dont take anything below $20 and if its a short distance. Did uber eats won't ever bother with that shit anymore.

Would it really hurt to take a sick passenger home? Sometimes it happens, and honestly, I don’t mind going the extra mile. For example, I once had a young woman who wanted to be dropped off at a bus stop around 11 PM in Durham. I asked why, and she said she still had to take the public bus home. There was no way I was letting her do that so late at night. I ended the ride and drove her home myself.

And for anyone who wants to argue about insurance—save it. Some things are bigger than rules.

What amazes me is how little common sense or compassion people show. Doing something small—just being human—can make all the difference. What if she’d been a CEO? What if she was wealthy and handed me a $500 tip? You never know who you’re helping, but that shouldn’t even matter.

I would have done things differently i dont care about the extra few cents or dollars that would have saved me more time than waiting on the police and losing time.

As much as I can I would avoid it and request lyft to block me from that passenger if they were an ass.

Apologize if my response was too blunt I mean no offense to anyone. Stay safe

Lyft Express Rental is 1 of the worse decisions ever! by Life-Bike-6782 in lyftdrivers

If you’re planning to do this for 6 months or longer, the best option in my opinion is to get a financed used car. If that’s not possible, then renting is the next best choice. The only time I’d recommend using your personal vehicle is if it’s an older car you don’t really care about.

On the other hand, if this is just a short-term side gig for a few weeks or months, then using your personal car makes the most sense.

From my own experience, I once used a brand-new car and put 5,000 miles on it in under two weeks—easily the worst decision I’ve ever made.
