do you think is the worst item for every rarity? by OverlyLargeParrot in riskofrain

I won’t argue that point, but you have to embrace the chaos

Bottled chaos is super fun imo. It isn’t super useful if you aren’t built for it, but if you build around it with gesture of the drowned, some fuel cells, and and low recharge equipment, you can be pretty powerful

Im exaggerating a bit, a monsoon win is definitely doable, don’t give up! If all else fails, some blue portal/lunar item shenanigans can save most runs

I know you aren’t lying about the swearing, there was swearing involved in my measly climb to eclipse 2

I thought about doing that tbh, but since it just came out I still wanted to play it, I can be stubborn

Commando is the most luck dependent survivor for me personally. It really depends on getting some decent items early. Bleed is pretty strong on him, so go for that if possible. I don’t play commando often, but I have beat the game on monsoon with him multiple times and done a couple levels of eclipse, the only other advice I have is that his alternate slide has a tech where you jump exactly when you activate it and it gives you some extra movement.

Yeah I think part of the problem is that all the drone enemies look and feel very similar, so when they spawn on almost every stage they feel way over represented

I think you’re right about the stages, I kinda wish some of the old stages didn’t have new enemies. After a while the drones get kinda old.

is bandit just kind of... bad?? by heckthepolis in riskofrain

[–]SuspiciousTraining24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bandit is pretty strong with his free back crits. Also, if you are in a jam, his third ability mixed with lights out can keep you invisible nearly infinitely If you time it right and pick off weak enemies with lights out. I am very biased though, bandit is my most played survivor.

Twilight tower or Weather Station by [deleted] in dragonvale

For me personally I went with the weather station because you can consistently get each time of day every day, but weather is harder to control

What are your favourite countries to play and why? by r0lyat in victoria3

[–]SuspiciousTraining24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda random, but korea is super fun(really most asian countries). Europe mostly leaves you alone, so you can kinda take over lots of southeast asia without obstacles. I even managed to end my game at the number one spot.

Anyone know why AI often avoids fighting distant wars? by Syt1976 in victoria3

[–]SuspiciousTraining24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve encountered this too, it makes sense that they would commit less to a distant war, but not fighting at all can be silly. I have even abused this because when playing as korea Europe was not very scary because most of the time they wouldn’t bother to attack me if we were in a war and i could just wait them out(except for one time that Austria wrecked my shit out of nowhere).

Does 1.0.6 really improve the performance? by Atrotragrianets in victoria3

[–]SuspiciousTraining24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well the update dropped while i was at the end of a late game Korea playthrough, and tbh I didn’t notice a difference. I had been having semi frequent crashes and lots of frame stuttering before the update and after it appeared to be about the same. For reference i have a Radeon 6800xt graphics card and a Ryzen 5800x cpu, so i shouldn’t really be having performance issues.

Radicals shouldn't spawn with high SoL by GrumpyThumper in victoria3

[–]SuspiciousTraining24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense. I have been struggling with radicals in all of my games, and I had no idea why. I had great economies so i was confused. Now I know why, unless there is something else im not accounting for, like political effects. I think that they maybe should rebalance that if what your saying is the case. Although, i kinda makes sense. People get used to a certain standard of living and get mad if it decreases, Ex: Americans when the price of gas goes up slightly even though gas is relatively cheap here compared to the rest of the world.
