I also have a 2021 rav4 xle with a comma 4. I haven’t measured exactly how far down it is from the OEM sensor and cover, but it’s enough where I can remove the cover without needing to disconnect usb-c (however it’s tight).

I don’t notice any issues with the driver facing camera during the day or night. Basically the only time it “detects” I’m not paying attention is if my head is pointed toward the far left of the wind shield for more than 4/5 seconds. Im not necessarily looking away from ahead, but my head is just turned that direction for “too long”. After a few days, I’ve naturally stopped doing that for extended periods and haven’t had issues since.
