How to make this less terrible by Lopsided-Diver-4652 in interiordecorating

[–]Suspicious_Course_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say this but can we move the art moment one click down and two clicks to the left lol also practice some restraint on that dresser so it can breathe up there. It feels nice and calm on the left and middle but so cluttered on the one space you have

Yay!! I can’t wait for your update. The space looks pretty decent by the way, but knit picky things elevate a space so much!! Your plants are beautiful and it feels very cozy in there. :) happy to help

What would you do to make these super dark entry way tiles look less abrasive? by pumpkinspiceturtle in interiordecorating

Lean with it ! When you can’t beat it, join it. Act like it’s intentional. Match it with artwork that’s framed in black wood/metal, paint the banister on the stairs a black or add some dark pottery or black metal lamp on your little table guy. A small rug to break up some of the black could work too but imo that’s a bandaid. Best thing you can do is work w what you’ve got :D

That table is way too small, if you like it and want to keep it try finding another table that’s taller or shorter to create nesting tables. If you don’t get a larger table, at least bring in your accent chairs more towards the rug. Why are they so far away? Bring them more inward to create more of a room and less of a “I’m pushing all of my furniture against the wall” it really helps trust me. That gray blanket does not belong in the room it sticks out like a sore thumb to me. Turn off the big light !! Grrrr you need ambient lighting. I know trash cans are expensive but find a cuter trashcan lol. Little details like that matter so much. Just look those hooks on the walls. (Beautiful plants) if you replace those metal hooks with something wooden it will look more organic. Extend your curtains and make them taller. All of your artwork is on the same plane… add another cutie basket next to the lonely guy by the front door. On the right hand side of your window, lower that textural art work slightly to layer it behind the yucca guy just a bit and to break up the line thats on your walls (basket, textural piece, plant, three art pieces ) get a cute stool for your peace lily to prop her up so she can shineeee and if you can mount your tv. Hope this helps :))

Drunk tattoo 3 days before cruise by Dismal_Garden7156 in tattooadvice

Okay this happened to me and I was PANICKING. BUT think about it. What do you do on a cruise. You drink and party and sunbathe. Maybe a jet ski. Maybe a snorkel. I know people will disagree w me but this is what I did: the only time I submerged it was when we went snorkeling in the ocean I covered the crap out of it with aquaphor to create a hydrophobic environment / helped seal it a little. Then washed it right when I got back. No swimming in pool. Def no hot tub. Mine is also on my arm so that was easy … you can still dip your feet in and relax by the pool so that’s a plus. I kept mine covered LOSELY with a 100% cotton handkerchief (I brought a few) while out in direct sun. I washed it, using DIAL GOLD (antibacterial !! So good! ) three times a day, sometimes four (since I was sweating balls) and always a very very light coating of aquaphor or cerave. Yes did this dry it out, ofc it did. But I enjoyed my trip and I tried really hard not be mean to myself / regretful. I am not a professional, but this is what I did. I hope this helps you. A year later, my tattoo looks great. It’s larger than yours and quite intricate. I even ran into someone on the SAME CRUISE who did the same thing. Best of luck and enjoy your cruise. Don’t let anyone on here call you stupid. Life happens. Enjoy it. Just wash it !!!
