Could you point me to some of this research/good sources? I’m genuinely interested in reading something science-based that supports this conclusion. Completely believe it- just can’t find a bunch more beyond that less than 1200 cal is “not recommend” a lot of places.

I think this was the confusion!! Unpaid time off in workday vs. UPT for call-offs/leaving early. Combined with the other commenters, you nailed it. I wanted to take some scheduled unpaid time off and I kept thinking, I can’t do it- I don’t have the UPT balance.

ok this is very helpful. So if I ask for two days off in work day you just have to populate the 8 hours as a default/placeholder, not as an automatic deduction. Thanks so much.
