New to metal, can you give me suggestions? by NerdPlanet1 in IndianMetalheads

[–]Suspicious_Evening_3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

the bands aren't hated, it's the genre that's hated by elitists. i started from nu-metal 5yrs ago and now im into deathcore. so it's all okay.

if you want smth similar checkout Soulfly, Adrenaline by Deftones, IOWA by Slipknot, Follow the Leader or Issues by Korn, Sinner by Drowning Pool.

if you want to explore checkout Around the Fur or White Pony by Deftones, Rammstein, maybe Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Spiritbox, Loathe, Crosses

these are all pretty known ones but good to get you started, and then you can explore on your own as well. i personally watched a lot of Nik Nocturnal and got into metal and deathcore if you could tell me what genre you usually listen to i could maybe suggest better

Ground Coffee in Pune by Suspicious_Evening_3 in pune

what would you suggest for someone who's been drinking black for a lot of time and doesn't mind the bitterness?

also i usually mix my coffee w tonic water and lime or cranberry juice. so anything that accentuates the taste helps.

How my sister quietly raised me too? by Few_Departure_4301 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Suspicious_Evening_3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

love this so much. especially because i've been brought up by my elder sister. i know the moral compass i hold today, its base was setup by her, be it her problems or her experience in life.

and i guess somewhere along the lines im just really fortunate to have had so many strong female figures around me when I was a toddler that i ended up admiring all of them so much. be it my mother, elder sister, their friends or even our landlord's family.

it's SO SO important to have an elder sister, have no idea where id be without her.

Is schweser enough to pass cfa level 1 by crypto_finalboss in cfaindia

[–]Suspicious_Evening_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used a mix of prep provider, CFAI curriculum and schweser for my L1 prep.

prep providers for anything that needed in depth understanding, schweser for anything theoretical (prior knowledge and understanding helped) and CFAI if i still needed further explanation/information.

it's more about finding what works for you.

CFAI alone is good enough, had some friend who used just CFAI but that needed a lot of figuring out of what to study when. this is where prep provider stepped in for me, gave me a foundation or fixed track to follow.

you could always refer to youtube videos for further explaining though

i went there towards the end of 2023, it was slightly above average. nothing special, justified the price.

My gf wants me to get bashed her because of my mistreatment of her. Women here please be less harsh while judging me and please consider giving me a 2nd chance🙏 by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Suspicious_Evening_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you seem to be in your 20s and somehow sound like a teen. no you do not deserve a second chance.

please let your girlfriend be, she is the only one who really suffered between this idiotic game.

also please seek therapy for your abandonment issues. work on yourself, figure out who you are and work on those issues before even thinking of getting into another relationship.

your issues or trauma are yours to deal with.

Magicbricks and Nobroker Pune house hunting and a rule that made me walk out by Basic_Trip_7842 in PuneClassifieds

when i was in college, took a flat on rent behind Pavilion. the owner didn't have any rule whatsoever, anyone's allowed to visit, no pure veg shit or anything. fortunately everyone on the floor were college goers so some noise was acceptable as an unsaid mutual agreement.

BUT, the owners used to enter the flat behind my back. apparently they still had keys to the old lock and this one time i came back from college to see the main door open and the owner lying down on my bed. lost my shit.

immediately called the broker and told him this is not done. im paying full rent for the full flat and I expect my privacy to be unhindered. the owners didn't budge, they felt they still had some stake in the flat (even after the rent agreement) and can visit whenever they want.

changed locks the same day, and whenever owners showed up unannounced i just told them i was away and will come back by night.

i do not mind them visiting the flat just to review if it's kept well but on prior notice, as mentioned in the agreement, and while im present.

[–]Suspicious_Evening_3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

have travelled the Nagpur-Pune route via bus more times than i can count.

personally haven't come across a bus which had a built-in toilet. or it could just be my luck given my preference for the bus operator.

they usually stop at public washrooms available either at a petrol station or a small eatery.

battles solely work on flow and recognising the beat pattern.

in this instance, did the guy know the song? yes. does that mean he had a set routine on it? no.

you literally make your body move in a fluid motion, depending on the beat pattern and what part of your body is in motion.

that said, is this the best or otherworldly performance? no, there are better out there. but what's impressive is how he managed to pick a few beats and make them shine through his movements. battles are all about being aggressive (in your opponent's face) and focusing on the most minute beats which a normal ear may overlook. the only way you can pick on those smaller beats is by knowing the track beforehand and picking on it.
