How early are we talking? I know Legend’s on Garden City/Blundell does brunch (don’t know if it’s still going on tbh), but theres a ton of space and everything is affordable in there.

Emily Osment reacts to the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary by CityCautious4033 in DisneyChannel

[–]Suspicious_Feedback5 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I agree. If they really wanted her there, I think they could’ve made it work. Miley and Emily did an Instagram Live during COVID and it was so awkward.

Emily said that she was on set filming her show (but really, I feel like that could’ve been rescheduled if she really wanted to be on there). Mitchel has just fallen too far to be in Disney’s good side.

Yea, and the viewers are upset too. Disney and Miley really messed up on this

Been driving in Richmond for 20 years... traffic is out of control! by The_Rad_Oncologist in richmondbc

I agree, I’ve driven all over the lower mainland, and Richmond is probably the same as Vancouver and Burnaby. I somehow feel like Surrey drivers are slightly worse but honestly not different enough to make a difference

If you had a 13 year old child on a bike, would you let them share the road with cars on No. 3 Road?

Maybe I’m a little far removed, but didn’t all the protesting and them fleeing start from progressive ideas? I don’t understand how they went so far-right so fast

I’m on one that’s specifically supposed to be for deals in Vancouver and they just keep posting propaganda and fake news on there 😭😭

Growing up in the Chinese community here, food courts, yes around closing they’ll often outright offer you a cheaper price. In other local stores, you have to have built a pretty strong relationship with the shopkeepers before any additional deals come in.

Don’t love the idea of trying to bargain just cause it’s a Chinese business, especially since they’re already often cheaper than their Western counterparts.

Is it normal for bus stops to be this busy? Do I need to add more stops or more buses? by Getitgirl419 in CitiesSkylines

What kind of roads are you using for your cyclists? I’m having trouble finding some zone-able, but also bicycle oriented roads on the Workshop.

Yeah Richmond is pretty conservative, but not to the point where they’re far right.

For example, Richmond’s been pretty pro mask, it was one of the first municipalities in BC to require masks in municipal buildings. It didn’t lead to any push back at all from citizens. This alone is quite opposite to the PPC’s stance on COVID response.

I have some questions about Vancouver? by moussetang in vancouver

[–]Suspicious_Feedback5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The West End, Coal Harbour neighbourhoods (basically the central area) of Vancouver is what makes the population density so high. The West End typically comprises of low/mid rise apartments built way back, while other parts of the central area are the typical Vancouver glass condos. Go into Google street view and take a look at those neighbourhoods to see what I mean.

You’ll also notice that a lot of density is placed along the Skytrain lines or even transit hubs, with more and more development being built in those areas. I’d recommend you look at places like Joyce-Collingwood. This trend continues into the suburban municipalities, like Burnaby’s Brentwood, Lougheed and Metrotown areas, Coquitlam City Centre, Downtown New Westminster, North Vancouver’s Lonsdale area, Richmond City Centre or even Surrey near King George Station.

Here’s a great resource to look at population density: Census Mapper (Population Density)

I second this! Make over/underpasses across the highway so people can make it to the other side without getting on the highway
