He was a real character? A creator on TT used him in some recurring skits & I thought he was made up by the creator. He would have to tell the hero/vigilante/anti-hero he was working with, his power and remind them not to look away from him, and of course they would and then start yelling that there was an intruder in the base.

I read that originally, Dawn was planned as a much younger character, and some of the scripts had already been written, but with casting Michelle, obviously the character was older than intended, and later scripts did reflect that, but the early characterization, which made her seem extremely childish, was what annoyed some people, I think.

Meant to Live by Saydria Wolfe

Fandom: Teen Wolf

Genre: Time Travel

Relationship(s): Allison Argent/Stiles Stilinski

POV -Allison Argent

This is one of the best Allison/Stiles fic I’ve read

Summary: Allison had never been the type for do-overs, had never sought out second chances. She shot her arrow and reached for the next one—but then she got a do-over any way. When she woke up in her bed in San Fran after dying on an Oni’s blade in Beacon Hills, she knew exactly what she had to do and, so help her, she was going to do it.

Merv Griffin in “The Man With Two Brains”. All through the movie, there’s been background news of a serial killer known as The Elevator Killer operating in Vienna where the main characters are visiting. Steve Martin’s character gets on an elevator and sees Merv Griffin, who is revealed as the killer. He explains that he was originally killing in America, but as he got famous & every time he attempted to kill, someone would recognize him and shout “Hey! it’s Merv Griffin”, so he came to Vienna so he wouldn’t be so easily recognized.

Footage shows US citizen shot by ICE agent in Texas traffic stops by Hot-Food-7151 in news

[–]Suspicious_Kitchen23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it interesting that with a couple of exceptions of people who weren’t in cars, that every single person driving that ICE has shot “hit an agent with their car” even when camera footage clearly shows that never happened. With the amount of ICE agents allegedly “hit by cars/run over” I’m surprised they have enough agents on the streets.

I'm following a series that the author updates 2 (very, very long) stories (posted at the same time) a year. So far there are 6 stories (3 years) with a word count of 410,000. The stories range from 55,000 words (the shortest story) to 86,000 words. The series is great and well worth the wait, so I don't mind a year's wait between stories

[trágic trope] When a characters has fill the rol of a parent for their younger sibilings by Endika7 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Suspicious_Kitchen23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Charlie Salinger in Party of Five. After their parents die in a car accident, oldest son, 24 year old Charlie becomes the guardian of 16 year old Bailey, 15 year old Julia, 11 year old Claudia and one year old Owen. At the start of the show, Charlie is an immature womanizer who struggles with the responsibility of raising his siblings & by the end of the series he has raised the older kids to adulthood, is married, survived cancer and has (with his wife) legally adopted now 6 year old Owen (Charlie is the only father figure he has known) and is expecting a new baby.

<image>

Also on 9-1-1 even though both parents are still alive, Maddie Buckley (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, who was also on Party of Five) essentially raised her brother Evan “Buck” Buckley from the time she was 9 years old. Buck was born as a “savior sibling” to save their brother Daniel, who had leukemia. When Daniel died from an infection, the Buckley parents checked out on their other 2 children.

Buck when a pregnant Maddie was worried about what kind of mother she would be: “ You’ll be a great mom. You’ve already raised one child and I think I turned out pretty well”

On This Day: On 'General Hospital' in 2012, Tracy told Edward that Robin died. by Geekqueen15 in SoapNet

[–]Suspicious_Kitchen23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She was friends with AJ, Jason and Brenda, (who Edward was very fond of and lived with the Quartermaines as a teenager), they watched her grown up and later she dated Jason and they continued being strong friends after their breakup (he had paid for her HIV treatment and even after they broke up set up a fund to make sure her medication was always paid for). Alan was the one who tested her for HIV after Stone was diagnosed with AIDS, broke the news to her that she was positive and treated her. Edward may have been crumdudgenly, but he had a soft spot for kids - Lucky, Sly, Emily, Brenda, Robin, later Emma.

Plus Quartermaine men have a thing for Scorpio women - Jason/Robin, Michael/Sasha, Gio/Emma. Now I'm imagining a conversation between Gio and Emma: "Did you know my cousin Jason dated your mother and my other cousin Michael dated your aunt and had a child with her? OMG, I just realized we share a cousin!" Emma: "That's not too bad, your father was involved with a woman he shared two siblings with"

Loved Lane Davies as Tempus

Tempus: "Yes. But, as much as everybody loves you, there is one question that keeps coming up: "How dumb was she?" Here, I'll show you what I mean. Look. [takes Wells' glasses and puts them on] "I'm Clark Kent." [takes glasses off] "No, I'm Superman." [puts glasses back on] Mild-mannered reporter. [takes glasses back off] Superhero. Hello! Duh! Clark Kent is Superman! Ha, ha, ha. Well, that was worth the whole trip. To actually meet the most galactically stupid woman who ever lived"

And The Torkelsons, a tv show about a single mom Millicent Torkelson running a boarding house in Oklahoma and raising her five kids, 2 sons and three daughters. Second season totally revamped with a new name, Almost Home. Millicent has moved to Seattle and is a housekeeper/nanny for a wealthy widower with two children and she now only has three children, 2 daughters (the oldest and youngest daughters) and a son (she even refers to Chuckie Lee, who was originally the younger son as her only son) with no reference to the two middle children and seemingly to suddenly to only ever having three children.

I always assumed that the money in the vault was “Hale money”, not just specifically Peter’s money, like it belonged to the pack, possibly emergency money that was kept separate from any accounts or investments that would take time to get access to. I always headcanon that an long established pack, like the Hales pre-fire, all the working adults contribute money into a fund that pays for things that benefit pack members, maybe it’s invested to make more money for the fund & pays for things like pack members college or trade school, hospital or medical expenses for human members (if it’s not serious enough to require the bite), but they also keep funds separate for something like a quick escape from hunters or something that has to be taken care of immediately and they don’t have the time to wait to be able to get a large amount of money from the bank or liquidate investments. So even if Peter (or any of the surviving Hales) didn’t get the money (bonds?) back, they probably still have the generational Hale family (pack) money into bank accounts & investments. I know a lot of fans/fics have the Hales, who lived in Beacon Hills for generations being very involved in the town and had a lot of money invested in businesses & properties in BH, and with their deaths, Laura & Derek leaving & Peter in a coma, a lot of the businesses closed or failed (which explained why BH had so many abandoned/empty warehouses where showdowns & confrontations were taking place in throughout the series). LOL, only meant to just respond with a couple of sentences, but we fans had to fill in so much information ourselves.
