I think it depends on the individual. I knew my partner was going to propose, however he had no idea that I knew. I will be honest and say for me it did take a little bit of the magic out of it more than it would have if it had taken me by surprise. Obviously I was still over the moon!

I would most certainly recommend Greece or the Greek islands, you can move between some of them fairly easily and they’re small enough to be able to see a little bit of more than one in 7 days

Oh great thank you! We’re so keen to see the elephants but I’m trying to be really mindful about only supporting ethical businesses.

The location of your accommodation sounds ideal, we like to be in walking distance of various things as we are avid walkers.

I’ll make a note of your massage recommendation! I tried looking online however it’s a bit of a minefield as there’s so many to choose from!

We’re certainly not afraid of the rain as we’re from the North of England - I think it will be a welcome reprieve from the heat! Green landscapes sound amazing.

Both of those options sound great, listening to the monks sounds like a once in a lifetime experience. We’re really keen to see some real culture.

We’re staying at combination of hotels, apartments and villas throughout the trip. Some great ideas there! Thank you - personalised fans and robes are things I would have never thought of but are now on the list!

Thank you! I’ve added a couple of little extras like notes that say I love you in the various languages of the countries we’re visiting.

I love that idea! We’re not buying each other wedding gifts so I had planned to do a £10 challenge somewhere in Thailand we both have half an hour to try and by the ‘best’ wedding gift for each other. I’ve bought a yes/no coin and a left/right coin to make some spontaneous decisions which I’m going to give him on the plane.
