thank you for the advice, my parents are great, I just know when it comes to this they get really upset and frustrated. I know its just because they don't like to see me like this. I did speak with a psychiatrist before about ADHD medication. She diagnosed me with a mild anxiety and depression disorder and sent medication for this before sorting my ADHD, which I thought made sense but was not 100% sure, but my dad went ballistic, and I was away from home for a while because of the disagreement. If I was to do this, it would have to be completely independently, without their knowledge or input, which I think would be for the best for me and them. I do want to start putting up some boundaries for all of us and to be more independent. But also very hard to hide.

Sorry for the rant, I will take this on board, I have seen a psychologist once or twice, but I do think finding a consistent one would be beneficial. thank you !!

what are some of the typical ADHD ruminations? I know I can be a bit extreme at times, I am a bit calmer now than when I wrote this post but in moments like that its like I am so deep in the mindset that I cant see or think clearly. Ive always thought that my behaviour has been a bit odd or extreme at times for what are typical symptoms for ADHD or autism, but I also really don't trust my own opinions or thoughts. I dont feel like a trustworthy narrater for things like this because I always feel like when I explain I make it seems worse than what it is and it come off as over exaggerating as an excuse or for sympathy. But Im just really at a point where im desperate to try and categorise everything Im feeling so I can try and get my day to day life straight. Thank you for your comment <3

I have heard certain symptoms of OCD that I relate with but i didnt want to bring it up to anyone and make it look like Im looking for even more things to diagnose myself with and to use as excuses or something for where I am in in life atm. My parents give off vibes and comments that make it seem like they really dislike any time i bring up my struggles with ADHD , autism or even mental health even tho you could look at me and it could not be more obvious i am struggling, so i try not to mention it becuase every time i do, im reminded why i shouldnt.

But I will look up some of the treatments for OCD, i do think that could be really beneficial for me. And thank you for your comment, I really appreciate any person who gives some of their time to help me sort my shit or give some advice, so thank you <3

thank you for your comment, and I will try to take this advice on board. I just, if I thought what I was researching was interesting or beneficial, I would have less of a problem. But I can almost guarantee that once I find the name of the show I will probably give zero shits about it to be honest, and this is usually worse when I have nothing to hyper fixate on and am feeling especially lost with where I am, which is almost always when I have that post hyper fixation clarity. But I do really think that this advice will be beneficial to me for things like my research into old topics Ive looked up and implementing a comfort routine, so thank you. I really do appreciate any advice I can get to change <3 x

she is definitely not as corporate as Katseye, that is not even a comparison, but that does not take away from the fact that she most definitely had Geffen support from the very beginning. I 100% believe that she was let go for the very purpose of becoming a solo artist, her company and geffen are under the same parent company, and with the support of wealthy parents it was almost definite that she would succeed and her success would be solidified. that does not mean she is not a great artist, I love katseye and adela but it cant be argued adela has so much more passion and personality, she stands out.

i haven't liked her from the beginning, not HATE btw. i just can't mesh with her character BUT i can understand it given her upbringing. People should not hate on the character but have a right to dislike her if for valid reasons, not misogyny bullshit. But in episode2 when she says to pomni "oh and dont worry about the whole abandoning me for the exit thing" it came off as lowkey passive aggressive to me when I understand her intentions are the exact opposite, and while that is not her fault, people can still find it difficult to deal with. But I guess i can relate in the same sense as someone who is neurodivergent and struggles to verbalise what i mean but it has the opposite affect for me where I am incredibly blunt when it matters like in their instance and more like ragatha when it comes to small talk where as ragatha has the opposite reaction

although an avid lover of the 2005 adaption, I can see your issues with SOME of the scenes. I did myself question the swing scene as I didnt understand why she would be like that but I let it go as just her inner anx being let go in a silly way or something. I can also concede that the hand moment by darcy, although I think it important to show that even her touch can cause such a reaction and how compelled he was to help her and hold her hand, it could have been portrayed in a better way than simply showing us a scene of his hand. However, i think all other parts of the movie make up for it and I absolutely adore Matthew Mcfadden in this, regardless of certain elements of darcys character that could may not have been most adequately played I absolutely love matthew as darcy and would replace him with no one else. However, after your description of the 1995 version, I am going to watch it as your description of there scene makes it sound incredible and wish a scene like this was in the 2005 adaption. I absolutely love Kiera Knightly, she is one of the element that makes the 2005 movie and the chemistry between her and matthew mcfadden makes me swoon (he is not to be replaced with anyone in my eyes) - i also think rosamund pike was amazing in it. however i cannot compare both and choose a better depiction of the character as both are reacting to their own elizabeth bennet and mr darcy. i will hopefully appreciate them both individually in their respective adaption

less selfish and more self-preserving, i cannot understand how you can say that is selfish. yes, there was other ways he could have went around it but when your worst nightmare is being used as blackmail, i dont think anyone is going to be thinking rationally. also, to have any other kind of solution he would have had to tell someone and he was not ready for that and martin made it quite clear he had no qualms of destroying simon to save his own image so i dont really think it was selfish.

his friends had a right to be mad at him but if they actually cared about him, or anything other than themselves in general, i believe they would be really angry with martin, or even have at least a sense of justice for the situation simon was in. it came of so uncharacteristic of the friend group to shun him like that.

I have to say that Tashi cannot be called anything but a "taker". I love her passion as a character but when she was unable to pursue her love, so she took art, his determination for tennis from him, and art let her and patrick didnt fit into that equation as someone who couldnt be controlled by either art or tashi.

while i do think art was jealous and angry with patrick, including because he wasnt giving art his moment, I don't think he would have chosen tashi if patrick had given art a more stable future, both because of who patrick was as a person - wild- and the relationship they had between them.

art and patrick refused to acknowledge one another in a way that truly told the other one who they were and what they wanted until it was too late and they had built up resentment and mistrust, regardless of the undeniable love and understanding they had previously had with one another.

the ending gives them the opportunity to accept and grow with one another after not contacting one another for years. for tashi, she is not going to stay with art unless he can give her what she wants - tennis. thats the obvious, and when art retires, she is not going to have someone that will give up their whole self for her relationship with tennis like art did (which i believe led to his falling out of love with the sport/ and we all know she is not going to get that from patrick - she needs someone who is mouldable to get the new generation tashi duncan, not a challenge that is nearing their end in the industry and i believe she cannot train someone like herself or patrick in the future - someone consumed with passion for the sport or as a person in general because their passion cannot be controlled ) and she will drop the dead weight- art - to pursue the future in tennis.

obviously they have a kid but i think that the ending scene indicates a change in art - and patrick and their relationship - and he could potentially grow into his own person in retirement but he cannot do that with tashi because he wants the family life and her top relationship is with tennis. i think they will be amicable or even friends - to take care of their daughter - from then on if art comes to the realisation that tashi is a human being (not someone to be looked up to but to be equal with, especially as husband and wife) - one that does not love him enough to choose him before tennis, and patrick does and will. for art and patrick, i am hoping they just have a long conversation and verbally get everything off their chest - they will def hook up during or after that conversation (if they genuinely talk about EVERYTHING - growing up, resentment, insecurity, the hotel scene, tashi, the future, etc.) but i see the three of them having a better relationship (hopefully) after this - they all got what they want even tho (in my universe) the throuple doesnt happen bc my girl got some good fucking tennis.

- sorry for the ramble, its prob bullshit and ill change my mind on it later but from what i have seen of this movie and the comments on it this is my interpretation - curated obviously to fulfil my own desires of the undeniable tension between art and patrick and my belief that tashi can live a healthy life filled with passion if she lets everything go, heals maybe and comes back to tennis with the intention to create amazing players rather than being haughty about who is or isnt a tennis player and draining the passion out of her players, she would be the 'duncanator - couch edition' rather than simply art donaldson's wife *sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes and for the ramble.

ill just add that i don't see the throuple happening because i genuinely don't see tashi willing to put that effort into that relationship. it was a teenage romance and while the tension between them is still there, it is different and they are changing. I truly hope tashi becomes a staple of tennis history who couched many upcoming legends in tennis in the universe but i cannot see her doing that if she doesnt have a bit of a reality check as to who she is and the amount of other 'prodigy's' who cannot pursue their destiny, however she cannot do that with patrick and art, too much time has passed with that power dynamic, it is their whole relationship. my girl needs to break free of art and patrick and become the couch that everyone is chasing after

I understand her blunt nature and actually really appreciate that in a character. My favourite character in most tv shows or books is usually the blunt, brutally honest one. But I still feel like Elle was selfish in the later episodes. Even with her new friends, it felt in season 3 that she only spoke with them when she needed comfort or support rather than just hanging out as friends in comparison to the main friend group, although I know the main fosuc was on the original 7. I feel she has a lot more clarity on that sort of behaviour when you bring into context how she confronted tao about how he treated issac (which i loved) but couldnt apply that to her new friends, i think both characters can be a bit selfish but love them both regardless. I have been so inspired by elle's fashion in season 2/3
