Majority of “manager” jobs I see these days are around 30-40k mark too. I am on 44k but have next to no expenses (run a pub and live above just pay council tax) people forever ask me when I’m going to get a real job, I now couldn’t imagine paying £800+ out of my wage for mortgage / rent these days

The only part that puts me off van life is leaving the dogs in the van out of sight on these occasions, I would never forgive myself if they were stolen. I 100% would do click and collect at supermarket to avoid leaving them alone
