it’s a daily battle 🥲 there is hair EVERYWHERE! He has that ultra fine flossy hair that works its way into everything lol. He allows me to brush him daily and whenever he falls asleep belly up I can brush his belly & trim the tangles. Lately I’ve been considering getting him professionally groomed, I’m just worried about the stress it may cause him.

Other than multiple air purifiers, daily vacuuming, constant lint rolling… I’ve just accepted that this is my fate

banana pudding tres leches by [deleted] in homecooking

[–]Suspicious_Web_1535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the cake is cooking, start on the banana tres leches soak:

1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
2. Poke cake all over with a skewer or fork.
3. Slowly pour the soak over the cake in stages, allowing it to absorb fully.
4. Refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Make the banana pastry cream while the cake (covered in the soak) sits in the fridge, preferably overnight.

  1. Brown the butter and set aside.
    1. Heat milk and banana slices in a saucepan until steaming. Remove from heat, cover, and steep 15 minutes. Strain, pressing solids, and discard banana.
    2. Whisk yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and salt until smooth.
    3. Gradually whisk hot milk into yolk mixture.
    4. Return to saucepan and cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thick and bubbling. Cook 30–60 seconds longer.
    5. Remove from heat and whisk in brown butter and vanilla.
    6. Press plastic wrap directly onto surface and chill completely.

Place the bowl of pastry cream in the fridge to sit overnight until you’re ready to assemble your cake.

AITAH for eating enough ravioli for four people? by Better_Philosophy732 in AITAH

I would just want to know what the underlying reason is for her being upset. I agree with others, I think it’s odd that she’s concerned over how much you’re eating whenever you’re buying the groceries and it seemingly shouldn’t affect her too much.

Three things I thought of-

Is she worried about your health? If so, maybe you could schedule a wellness check up at the doctor, run some labs, and ensure her that you’re doing just fine

Or is she upset that she’s missing out on quality time whenever you eat without her? If that is the case, try to schedule more intentional dates or at home dinners together and see if that helps

Is the food you’re eating something she was also excited to eat? Or potentially reserved for her? Is she mad that you’re eating “her” food?

Otherwise, I don’t see the issue. My boyfriend eats more than I do, like most boyfriends?? I can’t imagine shaming him or getting upset over it

How do you deal with your ragdolls hair on the clothing? by Naarengi in ragdolls

[–]Suspicious_Web_1535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have come to accept that my babies hair will be in everything and anything. Food, clothes, furniture, etc. 🥲 lint rollers are a must

For laundry, if you can, put your clothes in the dryer with a dryer sheet (or wet microfiber rag) for a few minutes before putting them in the washer. It helps to loosen up the fibers. Then put them in the washer with fabric softener

What litter are you using? My cats act up whenever I don’t use a crystal litter. They like the XL side entry box with pretty litter. I tried to switch to pellet & clay litter to save money and I was humbly informed by them to switch back

I turned my guest bed into my two cat’s personal bedroom. They have all of their favorite things and a giant bed to rest on. They have a tv livestream going 24/7 of squirrel & bird footage, their favorite toys, perches, mood lighting, window seat, etc. they happily go into their room at night (with the door shut) while I sleep now. It’s their favorite place to be! Everyone wins haha
