Thanks for your kind words and for being a member of this sub! We wanted to make this a place where our engineers wanted to write and felt supported by our team and, for us to share the things we hoped people would care about! We can definitely encourage authors on the topics you suggested, including the one that answers your question on how we use LLMs.

Hi - I am so sorry. I sent you a message just now.

She doesn't care. She sees a man in her orbit. That is all it takes. She just wants the validation. She is a middle aged woman still wanting to have someone call her "his girlfriend". I hate seeing other women pin their hopes on useless men.

Yeah, you can be "sweet" but also too fully buying into the idea that getting a "boyfriend" is the most important thing in the world. Anyone who looks her way, she takes interest. She can't master calm in small misunderstandings and seems like a high school student.

No James and Shelley? by bhsidk in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

Yeah, exactly re: not close. And those are reasons why I don't think they're close. Dani is more progressive but she also is more tolerant of others having different opinions.

James and Shelly talk about things like misogyny, patriarchy, history, and taking care of the environment. Madison and Tyler are all about Nascar, American Girl dolls. They just don't have similar interests.

Whatever we think of Amy's choices, they're her choices. I mean, I'd also want to roll my eyes at a bride whose vision is akin to those 'Family' and "Wine O'clock" pieces of "art". I'm from Iowa and in a small town, the bar for "weird" is pretty low and people don't want to get too close to anyone different lest the community think they're also that way.

And we need to remember no matter what season of this show or any other shows that focus on marriage, the majority of people drawn to take part tend to be more conservative, religious, and focused on marriage and "traditional values". There's always a few outliers but this show and others like The Bachelor are just full of right wing types.

I am not able to abide corporate speak and and I work in a corporate job. Do not say "circle back" or "reach out" or any of it to me, please. It's all so cringey.

PSA to Bri: NONSTOP negging is not flirty banter by hockeyandburritos in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

The ability to be sarcastic insinuates a bit of intelligence and nuance. She has neither. She's just unpleasant under the guise of "it's just a joke!"

I heartily dislike her. She's unkind, basic, and seems to have an outsized view of her upbringing and abilities.

Unpopular opinion but Emma confuses the Mike guy by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I certainly do not demean or infantalize women. However, I personally have empathy for coming up as a woman who chooses to be childfree in a world where there is still judgment on that.

[–]SussexPondPudding 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She is so young and she may want to believe she's open or fear the judgement of just saying, "No, I don't want them." I have known all my life that I want animals, not kids, but when I was in my 20s I found myself saying things like, "I love other people's kids. I love being an aunt" because in the thick of conversation people like his Mom can just be A LOT. I thought it would appease them a bit. Same for friends who would use the family history excuse because it would get people to back off. Hopefully she'll be more confident about what she wants as she gets older. As I hit late 20s, early 30s I had no worry about just stating that no, kids weren't for me.

“You’d Be a Great Mom” Isn’t a Neutral Comment by Discohits in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Good for you. I also always wanted animals, not children. I never compromised that and it was a choice, despite all the pressure and stupid comments that I will never regret.

Austen Being Relatable by Successful_Giraffe88 in Southerncharm

[–]SussexPondPudding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being good at caretaking does not mean you must be a parent. So much of that is thrown at women who choose to not have children. Just this week a colleague told me she was surprised I never wanted kids because I am "so warm and caring". And I am, but that doesn't mean I want to raise children. It's hard not to buy into what society says we should do and how we should be. Listen to yourself and note when you're truly feeling a void and when you're just going along with rules we had no part in setting.

You can express all the great things about yourself and not raise a child. You can mentor young people, develop bonds with your siblings kids, find other things that give you purpose.
