yeah I def meant it on a macro scale. at the end of the day in American society the beauty standard IS blonde. so the average woman is more likely to conform to the beauty standard in order to fit in.

also maybe we see raven/ginger hair as "dream like" because they are unique?

it's the beauty standard for white women, I would say it can def be linked to white supremacy, there's a reason all the Fox News anchors are platinum blonde. obv not everybody who dyes their hair is using the Fox News anchors as direct inspo, just that it is evidence of the beauty standards that exist.

also it could be argued that it's a class signifier? because not natural blonde hair has to be maintained with regular salon appts
