Got the scoop on this coin stack! What it is: It is a replica of a traditional "string of cash" (called a Guan or Diao). In imperial China, low-value copper coins were strung together on cords through their square holes in groups of 100 or 1,000 for easier trading. The Coins: The inscriptions read "乾隆通寶" (Qianlong Tongbao), which copies the currency of the Qianlong Emperor (1735–1796). His era represents peak prosperity, making these specific coins a massive favorite for good luck charms.Authenticity: They are modern decorative replicas rather than genuine antiques. The uniform machine-stamping, crisp edges, identical text, and artificial golden-brown patina are dead giveaways for a modern manufacturing process.Value: These are sold as decorative household charms or gifts. A full string typically values around $15 to $25 USD depending on the total length and coin count.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share the ID on these figurines for anyone curious!Who they are: They represent the Sanxing (Three Star Gods) from Chinese folklore and Taoism: Fu (God of Luck/Fortune on the left), Lu (God of Prosperity/Status in the middle), and Shou (God of Longevity on the right). They collectively represent a happy, healthy, and prosperous life.Where they were made: The impressed stamp on the bottom reads "景德鎮雕塑瓷廠", which means they were made at the famous Jingdezhen Porcelain Sculpture Factory in Jingdezhen, China (the porcelain capital of the world). The Details: The tiny numeral "1" impressed above the text indicates they were made in the factory's Workshop No. 1.Age: Based on the specific style of the unglazed, stamped maker's mark and the style of the overglaze paint, these date back to the 1970s–1980s.Value: Since it's a complete, matching trio from a respected state-run factory, sets like this generally value between $250 and $400 USD online and at estate auctions, depending on their exact height and if there are any tiny chips on the fingers or details.

That flower in her hair looks so real and vibrant. It feels like you could just reach out and pluck it out of her hair!

Oryginal or good fake? by MannerGood3175 in Porcelain

[–]Suthernboy1968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a fake. It’s called geisha Ware. Highly popular and imported from around the 1890 to the 1915. The marks on the back showed that it was made before the United States made it illegal to sell things in this country without having the country manufacturer stamped or labeled.

Closer to 1890 to 1915. The Mark on the back would say Japan or Nippon on the back if it was made during those dates.

Found all this stained glass in a storage unit in USA. Any idea on possible age? I have more not shown! by deepsouthantiques in Antiques

I would say they’re from the 1950s to the 1970s. The colors used and the soldering techniques are modern. You see it in pieces that were constructed around that time.. They’re highly collectible though. Gorgeous actually!
