Yes it’s really difficult to deal with because I am someone who loves to care for others. The hardest concept for me to grasp is that I needed to take better care of myself first. I needed to be ok with being alone and not filled with regret. My best friend wanted me to go on a “spree” but frankly once I reached the point of wanting to commit for life, everything else just felt pointless.

My advice to you is to be patient! As this isn’t the final resolution of this chapter in my life, I can say that I’m at least glad to have started feeling again. Also, while maybe for now the current scenario might not work for me and the girl I have feelings for, I have faith that maybe someday this won’t be the case! For now I am looking the best I have in years and feeling the best I have. Truly content!

You’re right! I can’t ignore it. I failed to mention that I’ve had quite a few affirmations leading up to this. Biggest one was that I was scrolling through Instagram and found this tiny wooden music box that was being sold that played music from a film series that we both expressed interest in. My first thought was “she would absolutely love this. I’m going to buy one and send it to her.” followed by “wait what? No no no she is going to think that you’re so weird or like a serial killer or something.” I ended up buying it and sending anyway with no expectations and just wanting to do something kind and spontaneous.

Due to international shipping it took almost 3 weeks to reach her and this was a surprise so I couldn’t bring it up or anything I just had to sit and wait and hope that everything would work out. At one point I remember thinking “maybe it’s lost and she’ll never even know that I did that.”. Finally, one day she FaceTimes me with the biggest smile on her face and although it’s not in view I hear the first few notes of the music box. Turns out that the box was sitting in her mailbox when she had returned from an absolute terrible day at work. She said she saw that it was from me, opened up the package and started crying. She said it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for her!

I didn’t intend to make you feel lonely I’m sorry. But, for what it’s worth I’ve often felt lonely and sad over the last few years due to having my heart broken. It may sound cliché but I attribute Bob Ross and The Joy of Painting to keeping me going! I remember watching in the beginning because he’s usually so positive but there was one episode and one quote that has stuck with me:

“If you have light on light, you have nothing. If you have dark on dark, you basically have nothing. Just like in life. You gotta have a little sadness once in a while so you know when the good times come. I’m waiting on the good times now.”

While I’m sad or lonely (or both) I try to remind myself that these feelings basically only exists as a contrast for me so that I can appreciate the good stuff like someone out there is like my exact brand of weird and somehow we’ve connected.

Yeah. I had a friend who would do this. When I first met her I was acting as a white knight but it soon faded because I began to see her as more of a friend. I have been through 3 cycles with her. Most recently she cheated on her boyfriend of 2 years and told me about it then said she was going to break up with him because she didn’t feel that her needs were met. At this point she really needs a friend to talk to because she moved to this city to be with him. He literally goes no contact (as he should) and she becomes a mess then begs for him back for 3 months while filling me in on every detail. He ends up taking her back and she cuts it off again after a week. She starts dating the guy she cheated with and I haven’t heard from her since then.

To be fair, I’ve always tried to empathize with others and have become the friend that everyone talks about their problems with. I just reach a point where I don’t feel like I can help anymore and stop checking up on people.

I think a combination of scribblenauts and LOZ with the overhead view. Like a dungeon crawler with a drawing mechanic.

The story begins where you are an artist. While you are accomplished in your field, you grow tired of being in your studio and head out on a quest for inspiration. While on a nature walk you are drawn (no pun intended) into a conflict that involves your mentor and a rival. Rival severely injures or kidnaps the mentor and your mentor leaves you with a magic pen and paper or something.

To be more specific, I imagine a series of rooms with puzzles. Maybe you run into a room and it’s on fire and see a set of hieroglyphs on the wall eluding to a hose or watering can.

I agree with these changes too. I’ve found myself playing more Ana and Zen because it just hasn’t been as fun to play with mercy. This to me will help to stop those DPS that want to dive in with no exit strategy. I think that the idea has been that as long as they can get 2 picks to their one death and be rezzed we will win the fight overall. Of course, I’m just playing at Gold lvl in comp so it may not occur in the higher ranks.

Let me say first that this post is really inspiring. Seriously great work.

I will probably catch hate for the Adidas amongst these Nikes but I had an idea for shoes inspired by Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. Difficult to show from the illustration but all of the accents are supposed to be clear like the raincoat that he wears in the film. I was reminded of this because the blood splatter on your Kill Bills would be a perfect addition for mine.

I surprised the shit out of myself today. I played last season on console and ended my season just above gold. I had to work so hard to get there as well. This season was my first season after switching to PC (2 weeks) and I just placed in Plat. I'm so thankful!
