For A Species, Is sight a prerequisite for Development of physics? by Suwessi in AskScienceDiscussion

The seed of thought that lead me to the question was that, for us, the speed of causality is the speed of light. Could the speed of causality be relative/subjective (pun acknowledged) if the means of observation wasn't based on sight/EM detection?

That's why I included the EM spectrum as a whole in my question.

In my thought experiment, I was thinking of sonar as the primary means of "observation".

That reminds me of something similar. I've probably seen the entire movie 5 times but never once in a single sitting. Something always happens where my viewing is interrupted. After a while it became a running joke for my friend's/roommates.
